So I’ve run into an interesting situation twice now:

I remote start the vehicle when I’m 30-50 yards away with the key fob. Once I get to the vehicle, I try to unlock the car by holding the door handle, but nothing happens.

However, opening the trunk still works by using the button on the trunk. I end up having to manually unlock the car using the backup key inside the fob and then afterward, keyless entry and locking work just fine. Starting up the car works just fine afterward as well.

Anyone else ran into this with their rides?

Yeah, pretty standard. I usually don’t have any issue with the key in my pocket and unlocking the doors. This is the second time I’ve been “locked out” and end up needing to use the manual key option.

Not common, but others seem to see it now and then. No one seems to have figured out why yet.

 

never happened in my 23tlx, happened multiple times to my wife and her 22rdx (she got in the car through the trunk once lmao because only trunk would open), the only solution was while the car was remote started and wouldnt unlock to remote kill the engine and then attempt to unlock
