So I decided to take my 2021 TLX Type S out for a drive. Beautiful day 68 degrees . Get on the highway roll the windows up, turn on the ac and it’s just blowing hot air. Don’t hear the compressor coming on. Car has 21000 miles but is out of warranty. Guess I’ll have to get it checked out by the dealer.

 

Hearing such things make me nervous because my '22 has 20k miles and is due to warranty exp in November. I am seriously on the fence about selling my Type-S due to TC failures. Imagine being stuck with that repair and the car has 25k miles on it lol.
OP it might just be a fuse in your scenario. I'm hopeful it's simple and report back.

 

Have not yet had a chance to check the fuse. Hopefully I will get to it today. As for the TC we do have 6 year 70k powertrain warranty. Still it’s worrisome. I recently reached out to corporate about them extending the warranty past the 6 year 70k miles. Still waiting on a response. If they don’t extend it there is good chance that I will sell it.

 

Checked the fuse. The AC fuse is good. Going to have to get it checked by the dealer.

 

Got the ac fixed. Condenser was leaking. Might have been hit by a rock or something. $1100 for the fix. New condenser plus the recharge. Entire front bumper had to be removed.
