2025 TLX Type S Rearview Mirror

One afternoon I got in my 2025 TLX Type S (~1000 miles) and the rearview mirror was hanging down and loose. Checked to see if it was the clip, but I never rotated the mirror. Turns out the mounting bracket popped off the adhesive on the windshield. Dealer looked at and said they had tried re-gluing for others but did not last. Dealer ordered new windshield and mirror (rain sensor was damaged) under warrantee. Was told I am 15th in line on backorder list for windshields. Dealer said seems to be a common issue, possibly due to defective adhesive or its application, can be heat related (hot days).

The fact that it’s held on by adhesive is ridiculous.

almost all mirror mounts are held on by adhesive... it's not like they put the plastic on the freshly formed glass to melt it to the glass
