trying to replace my mirror that is in my car... i know its probably simple but how do i get it out?? i have the new one ready to go but i can't seem to get the old one out!?

 

does it have to be chiseled off? the dealership has told me that they sometimes have to chisel the mirror off the winshield. and that they usually break the windshield when they do it. or somthing along those lines. it was over a year ago when i inquired about my mirror being replaced.

 

no.. i finally got it to come off.. nothing chiseled and i didn't break the windshield... but it was pretty freakin hard to get off! new mirror is finally on.. i order that silver piece that the acid ate for only $8.33 from the acura dealership!

 

whered u get the mirror? how much?

 

i got it from a junk yard here in hunstville that specalizes in foreign autos... he only charged me 35 bucks!!

haha if only that WAS the case. When I was looking to buy my CL I test drove one and when I was cruising around the rear view mirror fell off and was hanging from the power wire

and that was after they had to air the tires up becuase one was flat

ummm. no thanks to this one.. I'll keep looking.
