Modern Steel Metallic / Graystone interior
Out with the old and in with the new. Replacing the 05 TL with the 21 TLX Advanced SH-AWD model. Off the truck yesterday morning and in my garage that night; 2 miles on the odometer.

Very nice-nothing like a car right off the assembly line !!
Congrats as well-I think that Acura just started producing this combination-plenty of black or espresso interiors in dealer inventory. For some reason they have not made any performance red/parchment advances yet either.

Yes, I have been waiting for this combination since the introduction, I kept checking the inventory in the Cincinnati area, but no luck. At first did not realize you could get this combination since the initial release info did not include it. I found it one day after I clicked on the "Advanced" model and went back up to the interior color and then saw the Graystone was available then. Not sure how many people knew this so I decided to post pictures of mine so other would know it was available. You can select the Technology Package by itself or the Advanced (which also requires the Technology Package). Not available on the base or the A-SPEC models. After I went back to my dealership for my second test drive, I told my salesman to keep an eye out for me for this combination. About mid-December, I checked with him again to see when this color combination was scheduled to be built; he let me know he already had one coming in for me and it was scheduled to be built 12/17. Took a couple more weeks to get it delivered.

I believe the accessories are installed in the dealership after the car arrives. The factory only install trim packages, such as Tech package, Advance package, A-spec package, etc.
If the factory starts manufacturing custom order cars, it will take about 3 months from order to delivery.

Agree, it's only the different "packages" installed at the factory, the rest of the accessories are installed at the dealership. I had the color keyed splash guards installed along with the all weather mats, tray trunk and wheel locks, this was all done at Columbia Acura. I wanted the wood trim replaced on the inside by the metal trim. If you check on this, you will see it is dealer installed and they have to take the dash and doors apart to do it. I decided to pass on that idea. On this forum, if you have not seen it yet, is the installation instructions on the accessories.

Jrvtecaccord, where are you located? The TLX's are built in Marysville Auto Plant in Ohio which is just a couple hours up the road from Cincinnati and it took 2 weeks to get delivered to the dealer. Although I am sure there are other factors involved, such as Christmas during my 2 weeks.

Yeah, Advance is the way to go. And I agree ... that is too much of your brand-new car to be taken apart and re-assembled at the dealer. Personally, I like the dark-wood and think it looks good. IIRC, the materials and construction of the dash and other parts are also upgraded in the Advance.
Edit: Yeah, the old cars look pretty nice when all cleaned-up and ready for trade (yours included). It was kinda sad seeing the old Accord-V6 driven away for the last time.

Thanks. Yes, I have had it for a month now; happy with my selection and the car, especially the extra features on the Advanced model. I accept the car for being a luxury car that looks sporty, so it fits my expectations.
I bought the 05TL new and had it for 16 years. I donated the car to charity since it was running well still. I drove it for the last time a couple weeks back to the place, kind of sad pulling away and leaving it there. Hopefully it will continue to be a good car for someone who needs it.
