One Screen for Nav and Audio Review
Hello...
Can anyone comment on how it is to have one screen for Nav and Audio items?
I think I will miss the 2 screens of the past...
I get the climate stuff being separate but nav and Audio together sounds messy... what are the thoughts of someone who is a current 21 owner?
Also how is that track pad to navigate when you are driving instead of hte big knob.?
Thank you!

I’m a 21 owner, former ‘18 A-Spec owner. The one screen is pretty great really. I don’t miss the 2 screens at all and those were annoying towards the end.
The touchpad is very strange at first but got used it really quickly. The part I don’t like is the “cards” on the right. I like to have it on what music is playing and the main portion on Apple CarPlay. It likes to change itself once in a while to navigation which is frustrating.

I just picked up a 2021 TLX AWD A-Spec and came from a 2018 MDX w/dual screen. Frankly, I didn't prefer the dual-screen and prefer the single screen setup I have now.
The touchpad takes a lot of getting used to. In Acura App mode, you don't lift your finger to move around. If you have an iPhone and use Car Play, it acts different where you do lift your finger to navigate. It becomes second nature after a while but I can see this being frustrating for a lot of owners.

Let me also add that the 2nd smaller screen (right half of splitscreen) is a lot closer to the passenger and could be difficult to see if the font is too small.
Speaking of small, I find the font on the Acura nav maps to be too small. Luckily I use Waze or Google maps on Car Play so I'm not dependent on it.

Super late to the thread, but my gripe with the system is that with android auto I'm not able to see the music I'm playing or control it on the smaller "screen" it either displays the android auto logo or the time. Wish there was a better use for it. I can only see the music on that screen if I'm not in android auto smh

I can’t control Apple Music either but the little screen will display the same information that the large area does when using Apple CarPlay. I didn’t know Android Auto was more limited.

Yeah.. I feel the same.. wish it showed the song title that's playing.. otherwise it's useless.

Very ironic that AA is worse considering the OS is based on Android. Chalk it up to very poor software implementation by Acura. I want everything to be premium, including the infotainment!

I really wish that while using Android Auto, the song title and photo would be displayed on the smaller portion of the screen. I wish I didn't have to stare at a bland screen SMH. It seems like an Acura thing because my CX-5 uses the whole screen.
