Are you seriously considering the 2023 TLX??? Read the article!
Acura TLX is one of the best seller sedans in the market. Some members got unlucky by having certain issues that upset them. I highly suggest you read the following before purchasing a TLX. It's easy to criticize and find issues but no one looks at the overall package.

"Should I Buy the Acura TLX?
The TLX delivers fun driving dynamics and a top-notch interior with one of the most affordable prices in the class. That makes it worth considering, but there are more well-rounded cars in the class, including the BMW 5 Series and Genesis G80.Source: https://cars.usnews.com/cars-trucks/acura/tlx

Why do a comparison and say these 2 (5 series, G80) may be better when these are the price points???
its almost like if you spend 10-15 grand more on a vehicle you may get a better vehicle…

Yes, the trackpad rating is the cummulative of the other 10 millenials who can't even describe it properly, let alone use it. Menus are easy, safer than reaching to touch, and no greasy finger marks.

Touchscreens are for wussies. Grubby fingerprints all over a large central dashboard screen are not for me. If I had a 2021 or newer Lexus IS 350; which gives you the option of using a touchscreen instead of the Lexus track pad - I'd use the track pad every single time. The Lexus track pads even allow a light double tap to make selections, you don't even have to depress the pad - which likely saves on wear and tear. Acura's track pad is totally fine and anyone who claims that is difficult to master or "infuriating" has way too short of an attention span and way too much impatience.

I'm sorry, but touchscreen over all. It's simple and idiotproof. It takes seconds to wipe prints off a touchscreen. Even Honda itself has kept the touchscreen in its non-Acura products. I owned a 10G Accord for some time and the touchscreen was one of the biggest positives about it. I wished every day that I had it, that Acura had adopted that instead.
That said, I've used the new Acura trackpad interface in my various RDX and TLX test drives and loaner drives, gotten used to it, and it's fine, but not Honda-intuitive. Even so, it's better than the interface in my RLX SH, so there's that.

Correct! I cannot understand when people say it's difficult to use....The same when people started complaining about Acura Gear selector. Now, even BMW 3 series comes with the same gear selector but less intuitive. Acura's one has a logic for P, R, N and D. Acura is always ahead of the game that's why we have so many non Acura owners here.

Was going through my open windows on safari and found this article. Great write up by C&D. If only Acura/Honda had continued to refine to FWD Long platform and didn’t leave it rot after the second gen Legend. Maybe today we wouldn’t be having discussions about if Acura is truly a luxury brand.
The old Vigor/ Legend platform has better proportions compered to (past) modern day Audi’s based on MLB-Evo which uses the same design/ architecture and since we know that V8s can be used in FWD Long architecture because of VAG (Audi) products. Maybe we would have seen V8 SHAWD RL(X)/Legend to compete against the A6 or A8. Maybe even a V10. If only… lol.

It’s hilarious that Vigor and 2nd/ 6th gen TLX has so much in common. Acura introducing a new engine, using a new “platform”, and being bigger on the outside compared to an Accord while having less interior space. I guess Acura never learned their lesson to stop chasing proportions. Lol.

Has our braking/tire technology progressed that slowly or something else going on? The fuel econ isn't that much better either.

well, cars are much heavier these days will all the safety features, and the car accident fatality rate was 4x greater in 1991 compared to 2020, as per Statistics Canada.

It was sad that the Vigor was a flop back then. It had many techno first from Honda/Acura, such as honeycomb floor , in-line 5 engine, long dash-to-axle ratio styling cue, etc.
However one of the major complaints was the small rear door openings which made ingress and egress into the rear passenger compartment very difficult.
The Vigor was replaced by the TL models which were more successful.
