Hi folks,

I have a 2021 Acura TLX Aspec AWD. I have recently noticed that my driver seat will save to Driver 1 but when my wife drives it, she'll adjust the seat forward. when she returns home and i drive it again, the Driver 1 setting is erased and no longer there, so i would have to adjust and set the Driver 1 setting again. Has this happened to anyone before??

Here are several things to consider:

1. I only have one key (Driver 1).
2. the green light is on when i set the Driver 1 setting on the door panel (but turns off and loses memory the moment the seat is manually adjusted).
3. I have already went into the infotainment setting and made sure the memory seat is set to "on".
4. I have tried to set Driver 1 (to myself) and Driver 2 setting (to my wife). When she pushes Driver 2, it adjusts to her setting but then it loses memory setting again.

It's starting to become inconvenient and i'm hoping to fix it soon. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

 

That's certainly a weird one. I had a similar issue in my old '07 TL Type-S where if the mirror actuators went bad, it would affect the seat memory. The fobs not properly syncing will do this, too.

 

You could also try clearing the memory settings and trying again:

 

Thank you for your response, not the mirror actuators but the mirror flood lights aren't working, so that might be it...if it is, that would be a bummer as I don't know why it would be related to the seats. lol. i'll give the reset suggestion a try this evening as well!

 

that’s not it. Those lights just die very frequently with no revised part from Acura.

 

update: I performed the clearing method above and everything works as it should now! Thank you so much @NTP66 for your suggestion. I didn't even know It could be 'cleared'. You saved me a trip to the dealership. 👍🏽

so it appears the issue came back. I believe the driver seat retained its memory for a week or so but now is having the same issue again.

Does anyone know if there is a fuse for the memory seat function?

 

Mine on occasion won’t set to the memory position. The green light on memory 1 will be off. I have to press the memory 1 button for it to kick in. Weird.
