A little ingenuity today....

I thought, "If the Type S could have grill badging, why not the Aspec too?"

1. Bought 2 ASPEC badges on Ebay for $40 total

2. Got an "L" bracket at the hardware store

3. Adhered the "L" bracket to the ASPEC badge with 3M double sided tape

4. Drilled a small hole into the grill (on one of the upright brackets)

5. Secured the ASPEC badge to the grill with a small wire-tire

6. This is the final product........

Looks neat! I wonder if Acura will do this with 2022 or 2023 model year TLX A-Specs

They won't, it's the subtle difference that makes the TypeS unique. Continuing to add the differences to other trims diminishes that.

Looks good but I understand why they didn't do it as the Type S should have a distinguished look. Although I will say the badge fits in more with the openness of the grill than the ASPEC does with the enclosed design.

Yep, also an OU alum! Yeah, game was the most exciting I think I've ever seen. It looks like it will be an interesting year! ...but I don't think we want any part of playing Georgia this year, lol.

I like it. And I don’t agree that the S needs to have exclusive rights. Look at the front of Audi S and RS models. They both
have the emblem on the front grill. They have differentiated them in other ways, as has Acura.

Just don’t put Quad tail pipes on it

Honestly, I wish they should have given the A-Spec similar exhaust finishers to that of the 1G A-Spec....except mount it to the exhaust as opposed to the Mazdaspeed6 treatment given to the 18-20 models.

That’s one of my complaints about the ASPEC this generation. The 1G was distinguishable from so many angles. This one isn’t.

I wouldn't mind getting different tips. It reminds me of the 3rd Gen TL and the 3rd Gen Type S and those tips.
