They Type S really is a good looking car! I’ve gotten quite a few compliments on it over the past 2 months of ownership. I still wish I had gone with another suv, but you can’t deny how stunning the Type S is!

Tiger Eye looks great on the TLX Type S and Integra Type S-not so much on the MDX Type S.

I would suggest you go take a test-drive. If you like actual functionality from your car, maybe also make a list of it's advanced features. For example, Surround-Cameras really help with parking (to avoid scratching underneath-front and wheels on curbs and what-not). Also, when you have a long front-end and you are sitting low (like in a sedan).

I tried to get the blue, ended with white over red which is a real nice combination. My local dealer just received its very first Apex Blue in the last week or so. Every Apex I found on the web nearby, when I was in the market, was always spoken for.

If I was getting a Type S based on exterior color now, I'd get the PMC Long Beach Blue Pearl since it's the closest to the concept car color.

I highly recommend you to test drive, check the features and make sure it meets your requirements. At the end of the day, you're going to spend $50-60K. Of course, we as members here can help you and share our experiences but nothing beats your own test drive and checking the key features that are important to YOU and not to Vloggers and windowshoppers.
You will not find a single car in this segment that has better look than the TLX TYPE S. Finally, those who say it's slow. Let me tell you, it's NOT! Most of those people did not even drive it and they are going based off Youtube videos. The TYPE S for daily driving is beyond fast and excellent. The handling, power, look, SH-AWD, sound system and fit and finish makes it one of the best if not the best car out there.
Now if you're looking for a race car and weekly track racing, please go buying something else. Don't even waste your time, TLX is not a race car
Good luck!

Hey!
Good question! The wash that I use is a brand new system that has a conveyor belt platform that you drive onto. Nothing touches the side of the rim. No tracks you have to line your wheels up into!
Check it out! https://www.rocketwashwi.com
All new car washes are moving to the platform method. It’s so much better!
I used to hand wash religiously, but those days are long over! The wash works great for me!

I went through all the emotions deciding on this car. I loved it as a concept, fell out of love for a bit convinced the competitors are better, tried to convince myself to buy the competitors but none of them felt as great as the TLX-S did for me, wound up buying the TLX-S few years later, in Apex Blue. The car is absolutely stunning to look at, I'm constantly getting compliments on it as Acura isn't an especially popular brand in my area so many haven't even seen a TLX in years much less a Type S. I have no regrets, car puts a huge smile on my face every drive. Drive one again, be sure you're comfortable with the cars weaknesses (such as the tight backseat), don't let the infotainment bother you too much you really adapt to it quickly if you own it, if you like it - pick one up! Cars like these aren't going to be around much longer, enjoy it while it's here.

SWEET color! That is the same car I was going to go with.... until my wife thought it would be a good idea to have me drive the Type S. And, well, after that drive, my mind was made up on which trim level I wanted. However, had I not driven the Type S, I would have been fine with a Aspec model.
