Just got my new Type S!!! Went to Park Place Acura in Plano, TX. I originally was on the list to get the white PMC, but apparently Acura had a mix up and I lost my reservation after waiting 6 months. Fortunately I wasn't hard up for the PMC, and they hooked me up at the dealership.
Looks stunning and congrats! How do you like it so far? What were your previous vehicle(s)?
My last car was a Black 2015 Acura TLX Advance. When I test drove the 2023 Type S, it felt like everything I wanted to upgrade was on this (except for wireless Apple Car Play). It's a fantastic car but there are a few small gripes but possibly because i'm not dialed into the car yet:
1. Volume wheel replaced with switch on steering wheel
2. Screen on dash no longer shows streets your on when showing the compass, only infotainment.
3. The infotainment touch pad takes some getting used to.
4. The car is a little jerky in Sports mode, but possibly because I took it off the lot with only 4 miles on it (i've only put about 20 miles on it today).
5. The wheel arches on the hood stick out quite a bit so that's going to take some getting used to (to feel the dimensions of the car).
Like I said, there all kind of just gripes because it's a new car so i'll need to play with the car more later.
Can't tell from the picture, what color is the interior? Mine is red and love the combo.
Congrats and enjoy!
I went with the White on Black. The 130R has the Black/Red combo, but I like the classic. The red DOES pop though, especially having red brake calipers and the interior lights turning red when you switch to Sports mode.
Beautiful ride. Congrats! I’ve been driving mines nonstop. What kind of deal did you get from the dealer?
Aside from $0 ADM (which they say is a Park Place policy), they were able to work a better trade-in value for my car and take some off the top since my reservation for the PMC was messed up.

Congrats. I have a white/red one. The more I drove it I really learned to appreciate what it has to offer. I had an '18 TLX A-Spec that I liked
a lot. And I liked it's size. So, at first I was turned off by the sizing of the new TLX. But, again, after owning longer and realizing the overall
driving experience is better than the previous Gen, I have learned to enjoy being in it.
Have fun.

Did you buy at MSRP? Lol. Do you realize that current market is at least $7k off?

I guess technically it STARTED at MSRP then they gave me some discounts off that starting price before factoring in my trade-in and down payment. But no, I didn't realize the current market is at least $7k off. While researching to get the absolute best price for the car is smart...I know i'll just get too lost in the research and never buy the car.
Congrats! I picked up 130R PMC #100 last month (hopefully not yours). $7k off MSRP isn't "current market", awful take.
Fortunately not, mine was supposed to be #007. That would have been really cool if I could have gotten it, but nothing can be done. My agent was really apologetic and went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with my purchase of the NON-PMC Type S.

Yes, I don't know about other markets, but where I live the TLX Type S models that arrive at our two dealers are all spoken for. Buyers would be thrilled if they could pay MSRP minus whatever incentives Acura corporate is offering on Type S models (last time I checked -- none). Both dealers have a feature on their website where you can see their known incoming allocations with an indicator of whether units are available to purchase. For well over a year, I've never seen a Type S on either dealer's allocation list that wasn't already spoken for.
Perhaps the poster meant used Type S models. From what I can see within 300 miles, there are a very few with 10-20K miles that are being advertised for around $7K (sometimes less) under the original MSRP.

So my vehicle is brand new from the dealer (4 miles on the odometer). My dealership actually had a few new Type S's in stock due to the PMC error on behalf of Acura as well as some other things, as per my agent. So, they recently got an additional allotment. This dealership also says they never do ADM (supposedly) and when I configured the vehicle on Acura.com, the sticker price (excluding local taxes) was the same as the website. I guess I just got lucky.

Show me the bill of sale where someone got $7K off actual MSRP. More like some dealers took off $7K off the ADM. There will be discounts if the dealer is sitting on one and can't move it and or the refreshed model arrives and they need to get rid off stock, even then, I doubt that you will get $7K off.

Agree with this 100%. I wouldn't indulge him/her, a quick glance at their previous posts says everything you need to know.

Look at the screenshot, tons of them in northeast with 7k off. Even if you pay for shipping it make sense to buy from out of state dealer.

You'll pardon me if I don't rely on a screenshot from "leasehackr.com" to correlate with actual pricing. Back under the bridge with you, you've been blocked and would advise others to do the same.

I just checked the Acura website and any incentives for the TLX exclude the Type S. A lot of dealers may not be doing ADMs now, but . . .
I got lucky. I placed an order and deposit for a 2021 Type S, finally got a 2022 and they honored the 2021 price, which saved me $700, and my dealer, at that time a least, was staying with sticker pricing.

Do you need a link to that thread or you now how to search?

"Ample tlx type s - still $7k off list." So do you need a link to that thread or you now how to search on leasehackr forum?
I was told my dealer doesn’t do ADM but also doesn’t do any incentives on the Type S. Fortunately for me, since I originally had a reservation for the PMC that got messed up, they were able to give me some incentives.
I picked up a used PMC version with 4k miles and saved 10K off msrp i got a great deal
Awesome. So much for people who thought these would be "collector's items". And more reinforcement that nobody should be paying sticker for the Type-S, let alone mark-ups. These cars aren't rare in the least, with dozens sitting on lots on Long Island alone. Discounted price or walk!

Yes. My dealer currently has 5 Type S on the lot. Most they've had, all colors except red and 2 Tiger Eyes. My car's current value is $47k, so not bad.
