4k blue ray?

Like a dumb shit, i purchased a 4k blue ray thinking that my normal blue ray player would play it. I was wrong. Upon searching for a new one with 4k, there aren't many. The ones that are 4k only are $300 or more. The upscaling ones are around $100.

Can anyone tell me what i can buy that will be decent? There isn't much on c-net yet for reviews.

That's my thought. I can either hold onto the 4k blue ray or take it back. I know in the past once something is opened, it's not returnable. All i can do is ask.

As long as its with in 14 days and you still have the box, etc. You should be fine. They had to loosen up their return policy to compete.

I picked up an xbox one s gears of war bundle with an extra controller for $300 at best buy. When the 4k player is on sale for $200, why not spend a little more for a console that i may or may not use. At least the option is there. The picture and sound are phenomenal on the expendables.

I'm glad that I don't have a 4K TV because I'd be forced to buy the OPPO UDP203. OPPOs are so darn pretty

I was going to suggest this. Hopefully your next TV will be able to optimize the 4k.

What does this mean? I have a 4k tv now. Does it mean that it will automatically convert to 4k without needing a 4k player?

What I mean is that hopefully it has HDR and if so I hope it works well. A lot of "4k" TV's aren't a huge upgrade from 1080p.
