Hey guys and gals. For all of you who want to get your TLX lowered right away Eibach Pro-Kit part number 4089.140 will work on the TLX V6 only without SH-AWD. These are the springs for the 2013+ Accord V6 Sedan. Weight and chassis are close to the TLX so the spring rates are a good fit. It was too dark to take good pics but I finished mine last night. Fitment was perfect, although the TLX is much more difficult to lower then most of my previous Acura's have been. It drops the car about 1.5 inches and the ride quality is great. I hit a few off ramps and the car felt very solid. On the highway it was very smooth and it wasn't a harsh ride at all. I'll try to get some pics up tonight for you. I know a lot of people have been wanting to get their TLX lowered ASAP so just wanted to confirm these work and the ride is great.

Not a great pic but I'll try to get off before it's dark and get some better pics tonight.

Looks really good!!!

I've been searching and searching for a lowering solution all over the web... Found out that apparently the 13'+ Accord suspension works on our cars. Gonna pick up a set of coilovers so I can finally dump the hell out of it and get rid of my 4x4 ride height lol.

Looks good. Are those wheels from an Acura RL? How does the TPMS match with the TLX?

Very nice! Thanks for sharing. I've used Eibach's in the past and they were great! Please post more pics in daylight when you can. Much appreciated!

Agreed. Take that sucker out in daylight and take pics. Take some profile pics straight-on from the side, too. In any case, good job!

Sorry it took so long to get the better pics up. I wanted to get shots with the sun in the right place so you could clearly see the wheel gap. Hopefully will be good enough to show the drop. I removed the tire shine from the tires also so they would have more contrast to the dark body color to hightlight the amount of gap

They are the 2004 TL A-SPEC wheels that they did for one year on 18x8.5. They didn't have TPMS sensors for the TL in 2004 but the TLX TPMS sensors work on the wheels I have. For reference the tires I have on them are 235/45/18

Just got a message asking if the back sat lower then the front. It is slightly higher in the back. In the pics it looks to be a tad down in the back but I had some luggage in the trunk when these pics were taken so it's just a bit lower then it usually sits.

Pics without luggage on a flat surface would have been more helpful. However, these pics show that the aero kit really does nothing to improve the lines of the TL-X. I wish Acura made a kit like the 04-08's.

And a big thanks for your completely useless feedback I'm no expert or anything but I'm pretty certain all 3 pics clearly show the car on a flat surface. I'm sure the members here are smart enough to know that a couple pieces of luggage don't weigh 200lbs so it's not going to drastically raise the car height without them in the trunk. Like I said it's a tad lower then usual with the luggage. Def disagree with you on the aero kit. It changes the whole look of the car.

Speaking from experience, eibach will always give the appearance of the front higher due to the front wheel welds are always bigger on any car.( so the wheel won't rub while turning +pot hole ). Not eibach fault.

I was able to get the front even with the back with lowered perch on the koni shocks + eibach

Looks great! much better than stock. I want to lower mine, but it kills the ride quality and makes the road bumps hit hard.

I suggest you reread your response about the luggage (comment #12). A couple of loaded pieces of luggage can easily weigh 100+ lb causing a lowering of the rear. Maybe you have empty luggage in the trunk? Not such a useless comment don't you think?

As far as the kit is concerned I only have my 3G TL-S to compare and there is no comparison to the 5G. That is why I will stick with my 3G until someone designs a better looking kit that does not look like glued on puzzle pieces.

Regardless of my opinion you should enjoy your new ride. No doubt your Acura will give you a worry free fun car for many years.

I guess that was an attempt at sarcasm?

My RonJons still look great and ride great after 100000+ miles. I'll try to do a better job of avoiding all of the compliments.

No sarcasm. Truly is rich hearing someone bag on an oem kit when they've got wheels I wouldn't swap for stocks.
Just giving my opinion as you gave yours. You think the oem kit looks like puzzle pieces and I think ronjons look like something you might find in the auto section at Walmart.

Interesting position you are taking considering you don't own a TL with an OEM kit. 3rd Gen TL-S with OEM kit vs. 5th Gen TLX with OEM kit. Undersand the "apples to apples" comparison?

You will let me know when Walmart starts selling aftermarket wheels won't you? You must have status since you seem so concerned about how much someone spends on wheels. Nobody really cares. I have already owned a Civic for 16 years and was ready for a major upgrade to a TL. "Truly is rich" hearing someone bag on wheels for my TL when they overspent on wheels just for a ILX/Civic.
