Poor high beams on hills
Poor high beams on hills
My TLX has a very sharp cut off of the upper part of the high beam. When descending a hill I get to a point near the bottom where I am out driving the high beams. The same situation concours when approaching an up hill, the nearer to the rise the less I can see. I drive in deer infested areas and these lights don't work for me.

I experienced the same on my TSX with HID's when visiting friends in a hill and valley rural area on two lane country road. Due to this headlight characteristic, was abruptly on top of about 10 full grown deer standing in middle of road. Luckily I knew to watch out for deer in the area and was driving slow enough in the hills and valleys to stop quick without panicking them. Ever seen a deer go through a car windshield? Not pretty.
This car has some of the best lighting available right now, and the high beams are really bright. Those cutoffs, serve a purpose, and are there for a reason.
The problem with many cars out there, especially reflector based HID systems, etc is that they lack these sharp cutoffs. Without them, you produce glare, and blind oncoming traffic.
