Just noticed it tonight after hard breaking, my low oil light was on for a few second and turn off. I checked, and the oil level was down to the bottom mark. I do check regularly around 40% left before next oil change, and this time is the first time it was low. Looked around the engine bay and did see some oil residue in the front. Did not see anywhere else. Not a lot of oil, but it is there, and on the exhaust manifold. Is this mean I need new engine cover gasket/seal or should I just do another oil change and keep an eye on it for now? The maintenance reminder is at 40% left. I usually change my oil around 15% or 5 - 5.5k miles.

 

Fix the oil leaks first sounds like the valve cover gaskets are bad

 

Thanks Ted. I cleaned up the oil residue in front of the engine, did not see elsewhere. I topped off the oil level and see. I will have to look into how to replace the valve cover gasket lol.
