Possible oil leaking

Hi there, I think my oil has been leaking but I don't know where. Every time I change my oil i put in a 5 gal and then I drain back out 2.5 gallon. I always forget to keep track of the mileage until now. Since my last oil change i drove a total of 3798 miles. My car is now telling me im at 15% oil and I need to change oil soon. What can I do? Theres no oil marks on the floor.so whats the next step to check?

Thank you

add oil when low.
so, you'll need to constantly check it...
if low, add a bit of oil.

this is what I would do if I encountered oil consumption issues.
there is no real fix, as swapping a new engine will do the same thing, as MOST 4G's has oil consumption issues.

I would constantly monitor OIL level by checking dipstick every 1000 miles...if a quart low, I would add.
this is how I would personally handle the situation, as my very first car in the 90's consumed oil and it was NO BIGGIE just to add a quart.

If you add oil every 1k mile when will you actually do a full oil change? Now that it's telling me 15% oil left should I do I full oil change first or just add oil and change around 7k miles

check dipstick.
take note where oil is on dipstick.
change oil because your MID is telling you to at >15%
in 1000 miles, check dipstick to note where oil is.
if oil is low on dipstick, add accordingly.
if oil is NOT LOW, do not add oil.
Check oil level at every 1000 miles to note where oil level is.
DRIVE till computer says to change oil >15%
change oil

welcome to car ownership 101

last oil change, dealer noticed that I was 2.5 liters short (dipstick was normal and no warnings on the screen).
they asked me to come back 1500 miles later and I was short 2.5 liters again. They notified Acura Corporate and then they did some sort of compression test and foind internal leakage.
they're changing valve seals, piston rings and other stuff...ALL FOR FREE. I have a 2010 MT sh-awd that I bought new from that dealership.
I'm supposed to get it back maybe this tuesday or wednesday.

take it to your dealer...maybe they'll fix the internal leak for free

How many miles on your car? Did you have an extended warranty?

Man I'm sorry to hear that your TL is burning up oil. I have a 2010 FWD with the J35Z6 3.5L with tech pkg. & that thing never even burned a single drop. I check my fluids at least once a week just to make sure. I'm wondering what it is about Acura's J37A4 that has it burning oil like that. & how has the car been since the dealership worked on correcting the problem?

ok so I received my car back on Thursday.

Looks like they replaced all the pistons and piston rings.
idle is quiet. like electric car quiet.
Ever since I bought my car new, I felt that my car had acceleration lag like an automatic (my car is a manual trans). welp, that's gone. no more lag.
I just hope that this fix is permanent and I don't have anymore oil burning issues.

I'm so happy that you got that problem sorted out. It seems as if they replaced the whole engine. Replacing the engine is easier than opening it up & replacing pistons & such. & be careful with breaking in the new engine.

But all-in-all I'm so happy for you man. Please keep us updated with your baby reinvigoration. Do you any pics of the car by the way?
