Just bought a used 2018 TLX, rusty pipes and scratched leather
Hi, I just bought a used 2018 TLX elite package which is in like new condition but there are some cosmetic things, the exhaust in the underbody (I live in Canada by the way) has some rust and I have a scratch on the driver seat, any tips on what to do? I’m thinking of redying the seat but the guy wants $150.

cant see rust on underbody...
it would be superficial or surface rust anyway. one could clean it up and then spray paint it black
if not wanting to pay $150 for the leather repair, might as well live with it!
or have you gotten more quotes for the repair job? there might be a cheaper competitor out there

Hi there for exhaust tips use chrome cleaner will clean the surface rust really good but you have to scrub it good to get the results for the seats it seems very minor scratches I would leave it. If you know the workman ship of the person that will do the dye do ensure that he does a good job not that after few months pass and the dye comes off and now it will look even worst than the first. Hope this help.
