Headlights dim with windscreen washer?

Has anyone else noticed that when you use the windscreen washer/spray that the headlights dim for a second? It seems to only happen the first time I use them during a certain period (maybe only the first time after turning on the car) - if you use the washer a few times in quick succession the lights only dim the first time. Does this happen for anyone else or just me?

Do you happen to have a Canadian Elite model? I notice something similar with a SH-AWD Elite but assume it's the Elite's headlamp wash spray diffracting the light.

I have a Mexican V6 Advance model - I'm not sure if it has headlamp washers but that could explain it... I'll have to check on that!

I cannot explain the difference after multiple times but suspect that the first instance is washer mechanism blocking the light. It rises up out of the bumper by 2-3". Simple test, have someone stand in front and observe.

Yep it's the washers - didn't realise I had them until I noticed the button above the P button next to the driver's door... Now I feel like a dolt haha
