Getting into back of Seat???

Hi
I need to open up the back of my drivers seat so I can perform a lumbar support mod. I did the same thing on my toyota highlander as it was just a matter of unzipping the back of the toyota seat itself. Unfortunately the TLX seat does not have something as simple as a zipper to open back of seat!!! I DID unhook that flap at the bottom of back of seat but didnt know where to go from there. Someone mentioned in a TL thread that you "pull towards you then pull up"
I have this feeling the seat back cover sits in a very tight grovve/track ??

thank you

if i recall correctly, all of the seat back covers are glued on. (past TL's anyway)

"pull towards you and pull up" sounds like the back seat cushion, where it's locked into a mechanism where you do have to pull the lock towards you then push up on the seat cushion

be warned though, those clips will break, and it's a BIATCH to get them to line up and hold tight, even with new ones.
On my black car, I drilled a pilot hole and had a small drywall screw holding it in at the bottom where you couldn't see it.

Wow seems like a PITA to do this
my highlander has a zipper and that's it
so you DO pull and push up?
the dealer made it sound like u had to remove entire seat

maybe I just use a foam roll.... Unbelievable

I've taken a Honda seat back off and it was attached with plastic tabs and slots. Hard to explain, but I broke one taking it off and it never went back on the right way. Plus there is an air bag in there so I'm not sure I'd be messing around with mine. There are a lot of after market lumbar pillows you can buy.
