car jerk during acceleration

Morning all,
This issue started to happened recently. While I'm already in motion, whenever I stepped on the gas, sometimes there's a slight jerk. Felt like no power for a very brief second and then back to normal. Doesn't do it all the time, and mainly does it on the freeway. Quick search online, but that lead to many different possibility like dirty/bad MAF, dirty fuel injector or air leak somewhere. The car has ~106k miles. Spark plug changed around 70k, since it was on sale so why not lol. Air filter replaced 5k miles ago, and it does not look like I need a new one. Does anyone experience something like this and what was your fix?

I had a similar issue, but in my case it’s due to the transmission. At light throttle on the freeway if you give it a little more gas (but not enough to have to downshift) it would buck almost like a hard shift, except the revs don’t change so it clearly wasn’t a shift. The tech on the ride along could feel it too but the dealership said it was normal (surprise surprise) and wouldn’t investigate further unless I paid a $250 diagnostic fee.

Tried a transmission fluid flush, but that didn't solve the problem. Rather than sink more time into what is admittedly not a big deal (unless it's foreshadowing the transmission demise), we gave the car to the in-laws. They needed a car, and we were planning to upgrade anyways

Thanks fiatlux, I was thinking of doing the transmission fluid change to see if that improve or not...this would save me some money until it time.

Thanks NDNV. I saw this post you mentioned, but I was thinking that it was mainly for the big jerk when come to a stop, which there was a TSB fixed for that. I'll give it a try and see.

Got my MAF sensor cleaned over the weekend. I noticed there isnt anymore jerk when driving but do see that my gas mileage is horrible now. Put in a bottle of fuel injector cleaner but seem the same. I drive a lot so this is suck!!!
