Just purchased this car used here in the US, Carfax shows the car was first sold in the US, door sticker shows built in USA.

Temperature on the climate control touch screen shows what appears to be Celsius, though the temperature range is 30-60 when using the up/down toggles. Touching the temperature to get to the "slider Screen" shows a range in celsius.

Touching the bar graph in the temperature slider screen does not set the temp to the touched temperature.

I would like to return the display to Fahrenheit, how do I do this? Is this a software thing or hardware swap?

I had this problem in my Canadian TLX with the US Screen. It had the temperature between 30-60, too.
So i think it's only the wrong head unit in your car.
You can have a look on the part number on your head unit.
