Finally found the solution to the winter time heater issues of TLX blowing cold air thru the dash after the set point is reached when in Auto mode....or that the set Point needs to be so much higher 75+ then on previous year Acuras to get comfortable... Solution is Spring Time!! Still need a higher set point, but the cold air is not as uncomfortable.

As I reread the thread and related ones, it seems that Acura has said that it works as planned. Any updates on that??

 

You're right. Spring weather has solved all the HVAC and heated seat control issues! Might even stop all the jerky transmission complaints too. We'll have nothing to complain about till November. I just won't know what to do :-).

 

Up to this point I have nothing to complain about with my HVAC, in fact I really like how well it works in auto. I use the seat controls and have them set to auto as well. I have to confess, I have the Advance so I can use the voice controls, and they work very reliably as well.

 

I have a TLX 4 cyl as a loaner and have notice the opposite in the summer time. The windshield vents blow hot air in warmer months, just the opposite of colder months the windshield vents blowing cold air. Makes me wonder if Acura has something reversed in the climate control

 

Ought to comment on how brilliantly the air conditioning in my TLX worked thoese summer holidays. At times outside shade twmps exceeded 40c...damn hot in Fahrenheit..104...and it coped easily, never once misbehaving, blowing hot when it shouldn't for instance. We had a wet day yesterday, windshield steamed up, SO hit demist and bam...clear. Wow that was fast she said.... Let's see how it does this winter. Heated steering wheel seems a distant memory ..
