Ha ha; Got lucky the day I picked it up; (01/15th); pic. was taken at the gas station, 1 block from the dealer; 1st fill-up; anyway, love the car; some software glitches, that have been resolved; but light year's better than my 2012 SH-AWD/TL Tech; especially, interior QUIET; no rattles, wind noise, or sunroof squeaks. Dealer made me an offer I couldn't refuse

I am not for every place that require front plates but here, they tend to put the front plate when the vehicle is PDI'd which I think is dumb...If there is a dealer trade with another location that don't require front plates, that would be a deal breaker.
For me, I would rather they wait for the purchase to go through and ask the customer what their preference would be. In my case, I my case, I have a way to get around the front plate bracket that doesn't involve drilling holes in the grill/mesh of the IS which is great. Many also like to take advantage of the companies that offer brackets that utilizes the tow hook....so again, give the customer a choice.

Grace Slick would be so proud
I asked the dealer to not install the front bracket but then I read where Texas clarified the law to add a fine to the infraction.. so now I have the bracket/plate on.. sigh

^^ Would it be permitted to have a plate mount that utilizes the tow hook though? That would be an option if you didn't want to damage your front bumper...
The fine here is ~200$ for not displaying a front plate but it is not strictly enforced...I wonder what is worse, a non displayed front plate (providing the tag is paid and such) or the 90% of people still using their cell phone, texting while driving and not being enforced...or at least not as bad as it SHOULD.

Luckily, in my state we don't need a front plate, and the dealer left it in the trunk. I did buy my last car in Ohio (which has front plate) and the dealer hadn't installed it yet. I agree, it would have been a deal breaker if it was already installed because I hate the way it ruins the looks of a nice car. I wish they could just find a better solution, or perhaps even some type of RFID chip or the like. Then, of course, we start down that whole "Government tracking me" trail.
That is a beautiful car though. I had a white car once and I really liked it, but now I'm in my "black" phase.
