Navigation Cross-Street Issue

Navigation Cross-Street Issue
For some reason my navigation system randomly/infrequently shows major cross-streets on the map as I am driving. I have tried all of the various scale settings with no success. Is there another setting to fix this? My previous Acura's always showed major cross-streets as you approached them. Thanks for any help you can offer.

Okay I spoke to Acura Tech Support and they informed me that when you have the navigation system show traffic flow on the streets that it will cover up/or hide the upcoming cross street names. That seems odd but I am going to change the setting and see if this is true.

I never noticed this before and I have been driving my TLX since August 2014. I will have to check to see what you are talking about. Thanks for pointing it out.

Well removing traffic from the navigation map does not help at all. Still shows a random cross street every mile or so. Totally omits the main cross streets. This is really odd. Not sure what good the navigation is if all you see is a bunch of streets crossing each other without names...

Unfortunately it does not work at any of the scale settings. I tried them all. I have also tried the regular map vs. the 3D map and the 3D map at various angles. Its really odd. I have never had an Acura or any car brand for that matter that does not show cross streets or at least the major arterial streets.

Very strange… Driving on the same main road. First image displays on the navi screen the names for almost every street, whereas 2nd pic (taken just a few minutes later) barely has any street labelled.
Map scale and settings identical in both pics. Nothing else is changed. Hard to explain the reason for this behavior:

Well it really is odd. I am lucky to get one cross street named every few miles. Kind of worthless if you cannot see an upcoming cross street that you are looking to turn onto.
