Improving RCA jack in centre console

I am using the RCA input in the centre console (don't ask me why) and I am finding that the connection is very poor. Small movement will change mono to stereo and the other way around. If you touch the connector when I am trying to get something out of the centre console it stops whatever audio is playing (regardless of input type). Is there some sort of adapter available that could improve the connection (tighter fit)? Couldn't find anything.

Do you have another cord available for the device as it may be the cord and not the jack. Alternatively get a cord extender and see it that helps. And it that does not work take it in for servicing.

9 times out of 10 its the cord not the jack. If it's teh jack they'll have to replace it.

I agree with the cord most likely being the problem. If you have a different cord you should check that and perhaps the device that you're plugging into the jack may be the issue as well. Try a few different combinations to try and isolate the fault. Of course it could be the jack, but in that case, the dealer will hopefully take care of you. Good luck.
