I just learnt today that if you press the volume key on the steering wheel IN rather than scrolling up and down for volume level, the audio fades into MUTE and pressing it again fades it back to UN MUTE.
Pretty cool feature IMO when you or your passengers need it plus the fading effect.

 

Yep, I found that one too! I like it!

 

YOu dont need to press it again to unmute it - just upping or downing the volume dial (great english I know, I spent too long in SE Asia) will bring also unmute it. Unmute isn't a word either apparently. It should be.

That is a nice feature to be able to mute without removing your hands from the steering wheel, but sometimes I prefer to press the Play/Pause softkey on the center screen. I've found that when I mute I sometimes skip through several songs and miss the ones I normally like the most Of course if you're listening to radio the mute is about the only way unless the TLX can pause live radio. Can it do that? My CTS does, I'll have to try that out sometime.
