How integrated are Android phones compared to iPhones?

I have a 2015 TLX Tech, and have been using an iPhone since buying the car. Am thinking of switching to a Galaxy S10 when they release next week, but concerned that important functionality could be lost, especially the ability to respond to text with voice over BT.

With Siri Eyes Free, I can access Siri via BT. How do Android users access the Google Assistant or Bixby over BT? Can you send new text messages?

When you connect an Android phone to USB, what is available to use? I assume the “iPod” source that I use to play Apple Music no longer works. Does anything work over USB with a cabled connection?

Anyone else make the switch that can relay the pros and cons?

I have a Galaxy S8 and when I plug it in to USB it says Not Supported.

There is no Google assistant available over voice.

I have not tried regular voice command to respond when moving but there are preset responses that can be sent when driving. The presets cannot be changed according to the manual. I'm hoping there is a solution to USB functionality.

So no way to send a text via voice over BT?

Unless its different than Honda, there is google assistant (ok google) over voice. In my Honda I have to long press the voice command button on the steering wheel (or i just say "ok google"). Then you can ask it to send/read text messages, etc. You do have to have the proper permissions allowed on the phone.
