Auto heated seats?

Had an MDX loaner and for the most part the interior was the exact same as my TLX. Except, when i got in my heated seat was automatically turned on which was really actually pretty nice. Then it automatically gradually turned off.

So I was like did I miss some feature in the TLX but alas there is no Auto function on the heated seat screen. Both the MDX and TLX are Tech packages. What gives? Dont they all use the same infotainment systems? WHy would one have it and one not?

I have a TLX SH-AWD Elite (Canadian model) and it has the auto feature for heated and ventilated seats.

I believe the Advance model of the TLX in the USA has the auto feature. The MDX Tech package is NOT the equivalent to the TLX one.

Advance model USA has that feature. It also does the same thing with the cooled seats.

Its the difference between pressing "auto" or "on" in the ac controls, not a specific button in the heated seat menu

When you use the remote start it also turns on the heated seats/coolers depending on if its hot/cold outside

So if you wanted to turn on auto heat/cooled seats; you would put the AC controls to auto?

Yes you can do that, say if its really cold and you have your heater high then yes your heated seats will turn on. OR Im pretty sure under the heated/cooled seats menu there is a button for AUTO right there on the touch screen

Yeah, you can change other HVAC settings but keep the seats to auto controlled. For heating, the auto logic has been exceptionally good in the Canadian winter.

I agree, the logic is very very good. It sets it exactly like I would.

Living in Southern California we almost always have nice weather so for "auto" it will usually put the heated seats on level 1 if it ever does. I like to bump it up to level 2 when Im cold but level 3 is way to hot I never use that!

Here in Tampa, the vent seats come on basically every time I get in the car. Once it was cold enough for the heated seats to come on and I thought that was a nice touch, especially cause I wasn't expecting it.
