Acuralink E-mailing on Low Battery
Apparently, Acuralink emails you when your battery gets low. The installers for the clear film left my trunk and hood open too long (overnight apparently), and my car prompted an email via Acuralink. LOL. I guess that's kinda handy but I had no idea that it knows. Acuralink is ever-watching (except when it's down for the weekend and nobody is around to reboot their system!).
Also, I didn't know the TLX had a "low power mode". News to me!

Maybe this is a new feature, a positive one.
Over a year ago when I got the car my battery failed. The lights would turn on but there was not enough juice to turn over the engine. It happened at least twice before the battery was replaced and it did not email me.

I ran my battery down ripping CDs without the motor running. Did'nt get any e-mail, but maybe by the time the car noticed it did not have the power to connect to AcuraLink.

My car (2016 TLX) is only 3 weeks old. I don't necessarily drive every day and if it sits for a day I keep getting the "enter low power mode" emails. If I go out and start it, it starts fine. Is my battery really a dud or is the system glitching??

Something to take up with the service department. Either way it is something they should correct.
