Acuralink Apps issues...
I have had a hell of a time recently getting either the acuralink connect or the acuralink streams apps working on my iPhone.
The apps worked right after getting the car, but within the last month or so, they stopped working. Couldn't get the cars status, and the aha streams app would work when not connected to the car, but as soon as you turned on the car, the streams app would connect, but the lower display would show no data.
Last night I uninstalled the apps for the phone and reinstalled them and suddenly the Acuralink connect app started working again. (Haven't tried the streams app yet)...
Anyone else have this issue can try this as maybe it might work for you.

I can't get the maps search to work any more from my nexus 5. It still does from my PC but not from my phone. Maybe something to do with the lollipop upgrade. I will try a delete and reinstall. I need to call acura CR about a few things so will bring this up too. It did work now it doesn't.
The uninstall and reinstall didn't work for the streams app when I got a chance to test it. It really kinda ticks me off, how is aha anything more than Bluetooth streaming... The app can get the data when it isn't connected to the the car, but dies as soon as the car is started. Grrrr.
For me, LG G3 with Kitkat (4.4), Aha works every single time except it doesn't recognize any of my other stations..
Pandora works great when it decided to work...^^.. maybe 60% of time it works.. the rest it displays "No data".
Mostly, classical music and jazz sounds fantastic.
I tried RATM... well... not so impressed...

Yup.... This look familiar?

Only problem I ever had was with the Connect app (not streams). I recall the app being updated at some point and I no longer get the errors referred to in the email but the Apple App Store still shows 8/11/14 as the release date for v1.4.
I have successfully used Aha via Streams over USB but it's never connected over BT (and that goes back to iOS 7. I've never had issues w/ Pandora (which doesn't use the Streams app).
BTW--Aha works just fine w/ the Honda version of the Streams app in my mother's '15 Civic EX-L via both BT and USB.

Acuralink works fine with my HTC One (M7) but not with my Nexus 9 running Lollipop. I have intermittent problems with Streams using Aha from my phone. Sometimes it connects and sometimes I need to close and re-open the app on my phone to get the car to get the data. I have advised Acuralink in Canada about the problem with Lollipop but they haven't done anything yet.
Acuralink is fine on my BlackBerry Q10; I deleted the streams section, & now I can't retrieve it. Tried uninstalling, & hard reboot; no luck; phone works great, otherwise. Any ideas?

I was surprised to find that the map function of the Acuralink app only shows the user's location. I had assumed that it would query the car for its location. Showing the phone's location is pointless - every smartphone has that functionality already - but it would be useful to see where the car is.

You think that is bad. Go to the "Destinations search" on the Acuralink WEB site. There it presumes you are in Torrance, California! I guess that is the Acuralilnk cllient services is housed.
I did discover that you can add a zip code to your search and get a reasonable result.

How can this be a part of an upscale product? Who is QA testing this? Embarrassing, actually. I'm just glad that it isn't representative of the build quality of the car itself.
I am not seeing that in my web browser on my notebook. When I select Destination Search it displays a map of North America and a Search box. Enter the search info and it return the location with a pin to the map. Select that pin and choose send to car.
The webpage should either automatically determine current location (preferred) or prompt for one manually, but not assume everyone lives in Torrance.
The car location (or lack thereof) is being reported for the app. While on a business trip it clearly showed where I was, not where my car was. Prior to this I was always close enough to the car to not be able to definitively state which was being shown.

Using Firefox web browser I did a search for Walmart and then Target. In both cases it showed me about a dozen locations in the Ottawa area. This is not where I am searching from or where my car is. I then refined the search to "Walmart Thornhill" and it showed the appropriate stores.
At best this is a minor issue and not an embarrassing problem, but maybe my sights/expectations are not high enough.

Within the context of the company or the car, I agree this is very minor. However, within the context of the app and advertised AcuraLink features it demonstrates a lack of attention to detail. Currently it is little more than a quickly cobbled together push of raw location query to Bing and display of the returned results. I would have expected a more polished interface from a company trying to maintain an upscale, customer-focused image.
I mentioned this briefly elsewhere, but I foresee a huge culture clash as silicone valley and automakers draw closer. I remain gobsmacked that others don't see difficulty merging an industry that iterates on a 5 year cycle with one that iterates every 6 months.
Edit: I'll add an example. App makers have no issue releasing product that is '90% finished' because they know they can patch it later. Car makers are loathe to have customers need to bring a car back for a recall. Even if updates could be done over the air, most customers expect to buy a 'finished' car.

I completely agree on both your points: culture clash and 90% finished apps. There have been many posts about wishes and hopes that the functions in the car will be updated, and I seriously doubt it.
However, the web apps and phone apps are a different situation and are prime candidates for corrections or updates as they do not touch the car.

I've not yet tried the concierge feature. Is it a live person you talk to? Are they able to book a dinner and send directions to the navigation?
I've not been able to understand how the aha app + acura streaming app + TLX radio is supposed to fully operate. So far this is what I've experienced:
- Each time I select 'aha' from the TLX audio menu on a new trip (aka, I've left the car with my phone and re-enter) I am forced to unlock my iPhone and re-confirm via a prompt that it is OK for the radio to connect through the acura streaming app
- Once accepted, I am able to only access the TED talk 'channel' via the TLX radio controls. The channel list only shows the TED talks and I see no way to change to other channels.
- I can switch to the aha app on my iPhone and change to any other channel, at which point the audio to the TLX changes accordingly, but as soon as I use the radio controls to try to switch again it is back to only the TED talks.
What am I doing wrong? Anyone else experience this?

"Aha"! Thanks for that. On past attempts tapping the aha button in the Acura streams app just resulted in an infinite "loading" graphic, but I just tried again and got to the screen you showed. Appreciated!
Like the previous poster said. You have to do everything within the acura link app the standalone aha app is prettyy much there just to setup the acuralink make sure you star the stations so they can show up on the car
Now that I've got the aha app working and linked not only to the car but also to my Facebook account, I have to say that it can be pretty funny to hear your friend's posts read by the dry and straight-laced text to speech module!
