What kind of factory speaker brand does 2017 TLX V6 base model use? In TLX site, it doesn't say. Thanks

 

Ok I call local detail and they don't know or maybe they refuse to give info. So i chat with MyAcura site Client/Relation. They said speaker are Panasonic.

Front/rear are 17cm = 6.69in
Subs 20cm = 7.87in

The rear has 2 speaker on left and right side, The middle is Subwoofer.

I asked for site to for the info, they said it's internal use only. Anyone have can confirm is this true?

So far there is no subs that are 7.87in beside 8in in sonicelectronix

 

geez! you went through a lot for info that is pretty irrelevant..
if you wanted to figure it out by yourself, all you had to do was PULL one speaker and grab the part # or serial number on it. and then google said part # or serial #....hell, the speaker itself might even be branded.

but back to being irrelevant...
WHY did you want the speaker brand anyway? it's pretty insignificant to know the brand of speaker

 

Just wondering. I use to own Highlander and everything was label as JBL. This is the first Acura I own and nothing label lol,not even Acura site. Also, I scare to open it up. A luxury car and they use Panasonic. I would assume at least Bose or JBL

 

^but it doesnt matter the brand. ESPECIALLY speakers. for speakers, specs and build matter MORE than the brand name.

and plus, panasonic is a top electronics consumer brand.

i'm still confused as what you did with that data you recieved?
like, whats the point of getting the technical data if you're not changing out the speakers or throwing more power via an amp

 

I assume that you are dissatisfied with the sound and that's why you were inquiring? Bose and JBL are really no better just more marketing ploys to make you feel good about dropping 2-3k more.

 

Also commenting to say thanks for the info. Not sure why you're receiving criticism for taking an interest in through detail. The more enthusiasts the better imho.

 

I have professional done it and loving it.

My system is now:
Hertz ECX 165.5, ECK 165.5 w/tweeter
10" Sub JL 10W3V3-4, Fiberglass enclosure
Phoenix Gold 1600 5ch Amp
JL Fix 82

I did the rear usb and light myself.

 

I'm planning on installing the fix 82 and twk 88. Do you have any hissing with the volume all the way down or is it completely quiet when you are not playing music? Do you have any problems? Also how is that 1 ten inch subwoofer working for you? Trying to decide if I should do two 10's or keep my one 12.

 

The sad part is Yes I hear hissing noise when volume mute. I call the shop and they told me if I install filter or in-line (i forgot what he named), the system will not sound good or low. And it he lower gain, sound will not as loud. I think he said something about the Amp too but not sure. Let me know if you know the solution to this hissing.

I have 10" and I'm very happy with the boom and bass compare to what cheap Acura gave.. This is just my opinion.

I know nothing abt installing system but what is the benefit of having a twk 88 w/Fix 82? Thanks

It doesn't matter i did myself or not. It's a good info for those who haven't remove or thinking about it. Not everyone know "everything" like u. I always learn, the more info the better but I guess not here. And also, not sure what type of question(s) should be asked to be consider as "motivation" and getting help in this forum. With that to say, let end. Oh, and also brand does matter or else you wouldn't wear Nike instead of Payless shoe.
