Wiper issue

Have looked around at some similar posts, but can't find this specific issue. Let me know if already posted/answered.

Just purchased a new to me 2018 Acura TLX 3.5 SH-AWD (Technology Package). I have noticed that if the wipers are on when I shut off the car, and they are mid cycle (ie somewhere on the windshield other than fully down) they just stop where they are. Every car I have ever had, if you shut the car off and they are mid cycle, they finish the pass and then go back to the fully down position. Seems odd.

Has anyone else experienced this? is there something I am doing wrong? Steps:

1. With the car in the "On" postion (engine running), commence driving
2. Turn on the wipers
3. Stop the car, and place in "Park"
4. With the wipers still moving, press the "Start/Stop" button to turn the car off
5. Observe the wipers just stop wherever they are in their cycle.

Thanks
Nick

I've never had a car where the wipers *didn't* stop mid-cycle when the ignition was turned off.
