V6 SH-AWD Starter?

Given the number of times the automatic engine cutoff kicks in on a normal drive, I am starting to wonder about the durability of the starter. Does anybody know whether Acura put a special starter into the TLX SH-AWD to support the dramatically higher duty cycle? Thanks!

The starter, and battery were upgraded specifically for the start/stop system.

There is also a counter that monitors the number of times the starter was used, and "declares" the starter as "almost bad".

This disables the start/stop system and prompts the driver to "replace starter"... (message in the MID).

So you'll never get in a no-start condition due to starter wear (at least, statistically speaking!).
