^^ Much prefer that rear spoiler than the current OEM's.

So I am going to show my stupidity with this question but what is the purpose of doing this TLX? Will it be available parts for the TLX or simply one of?

The later.
Companies may throw parts at it, like AEM and greddy did some stuff for the ILX that then never got put into production.

If those companies see a huge interest in those parts they may opt to produce them. But chances are majority will be one off stuff that the community wishes and begs for years later.
If a lot of people start modding the TLX these companies may put in more time and effort.

Thanks for taking the time to answer and not laugh at me. It is unfortunate to see that guys like Timmy18 can design better cars than Acura does, that small companies can design better accessories than Acura can....

Oh well...I realize that I am the minority here and that my vote doesn't really matter and the looks and accessories are not what deterred from getting the TLX, but seeing these cool accessories still makes me dream, as with a gorgeous Russian blond in the passenger seat *lol*

Most of us would agree with you weather.
We fall into what I call the forum enthusiasts.
The average consumer doesnt look for the same things we do. They frankly just need someone to say "YES BUY IT" and they do. Where as we may ask why after and actually expect a answer.

The new "bumper" with the exhaust tips looks comical in that color shot. Actually, it looks scary. Hopefully it looks better in person/IRL.

^ it may be just a protective cover. Maybe there will be an official unveiling and don't want people to see the entire creation before that. Or maybe its just ugly. We'll see on Tuesday when the photos from the show start appearing at various web sites.

Love the wheels, but that rear bumper mod has to go. Not too sure about the spoiler, either.

They should have sent the GT at SEMA, or at least the twin hair dryer engine.

The mods are a bit extreme, but still better overall than the RLX's and ILX's shown last year. They could've just slapped on the factory kit and some vinyl/stickers and called it a day, but it wouldn't have been anything new. Too bad CT Engineering didn't get a chance to put their grubby mitts on it though, would've been nice to see it with their K-series supercharger.

I love that stance.

Could do with a smaller rear defuser but not bad from a Ford parts bin lol.

@Silvertl I liked the Sema ilx and Rlx better than this. Those can easily be fixed. This though needs a new rear bumper and exhaust now.

Agree that the rear spoiler and the rear bumper exhaust appendage are a bit extreme. More showcar than everyday car in my opinion.

I think it looks great, but they should have painted the majority of the diffuser body color.

I like the styling of the rear bumper. I would buy it if I owned a TLX. The wing spoiler is a bit too much. Mugen made a spoiler for the Honda Prelude (and perhaps others) that went straight back and had a long overhang. That was a cool look that I don't think will ever look bad.

Idont mean to trump their hardwork. I hope it comes out looking more like this with the rear diffuser.
All they have to do is paint a portion of the black. Should be simple.

Great video. Love the front. Wish they played with more black chrome accents around the air dam.

Rear is way too much black plastic but they showed no finals of the rear so well see.

They need to make this a factory optioned color! That or bring back KBP.

The front is nice, but I can take it or leave it.
The rear and spoiler are not for me.
Love the wheels (maybe not the color so much if it's the gold/bronze).
Love the stance.

The wheels and stance alone to me improve the car bigtime.

looks a little better than the current TLX.
I'm not feeling that rear bumper look..exhaust tips are ok...the front bumper looks a little more aggressive than the stock bumper. the wheels aren't bad either...almost like the 3G type s. too bad this blue color won't be available for production like the red from the prototype.

Anyway, just another article i came across for your viewing pleasure.

^ The article says "the car does wear the brand's SH-AWD badge, indicating it most likely has a 3.5-liter V-6 and so-called super-handling all-wheel drive." Weren't they using the 4-banger? I recall seeing the smaller 17's in an earlier pic...

They should show the TLX prototype @ SEMA with this Galpin version side-by-side to see which consumers would prefer, then offer the winner as an accessory kit.
