I'll probably be heading over to KIA for the Cadenza in 2016. Acura is really screwing up IMO.

^I love the TLX styling. I plan to buy one in the next 2-3 years.
I like the Cadenza styling on the inside but the inside does not look nice to me IDK what it is but if they are trying to go upscale it just doesnt flow for me. But this is my opinion, Kia is coming out with great looking cars. The Sonata is looking pretty dated already, that the price of designing a car with a bit too much bold styling.

Yup and that's what I was afraid of. I remember a picture of the new ILX which also must have been a prototype with bad ass wheels and everything and thought damn that looks pretty sweet. Now when I see an ILX on the street I wouldn't ever think of looking twice at it. Just another car with absolutely nothing to set it apart from the others. When I saw that picture of the TLX on the street with mild camo recently I knew they were gonna do the same damn thing. Make it look all pretty for the prototype, then tone it down to be nothing more than just another sedan. Oh well that's fine with me, that's why I have the option to buy whatever I want like a bad ass IS or GS F Sport :-)

I lost all hope when I saw this picture. Like Justin said, the production version is going to be so boring and bland compared to the protype

Yep...it's gonna be boring, unfortunately.
I really hate some of the design lead's explanations for certain bad aesthetic decisions. Felt like he was dodging a lot of the questions simply for the sake of trying to say that Acura is gearing itself toward luxury. Meh.

I'm okay with any changes to the bumpers. The overall shape, lines, wheel options (hopefully not more than 7-10 multi-spoke wheels), cues from the 3G TL body, and if the interior is anything like the RLX or MDX I am happy with that too. Everyone's taste differs, I decided to forget the 4G TL and just go for a TLX in a year or two to buy one. I for some reason like conservative styling than really bold edgy looks of what the German brands are pushing out.
The TLX is a prefect compromise for me, the rear bumper from the spy shot photo won't prevent me from buying one. The Q50 is nice but I don't like the rear and the Lexus IS front end is just ugly in my opinion due to that grill. German brands are on my future list but not to own.

I was going to remark on how accurate your statement was but I was distracted by the catchphrase underneath your name and couldn't stop laughing thinking about Doge rolling his eyes at your TL-S. Seriously, its hard to type.

If you think the RLX and ILX are bland but think the 3rd gen TL is fresh then your opinion is

I said if for a reason... you do drive one dont you? Would you not agree with the Azine bandwagon and claim Acura lost its touch after the 3rd gen TL.

Acura absolutely lost touch because they created a polarizing design aesthetic. Whether you want to agree with that aesthetic or not doesn't change the fact that the 3G TL had a more broadly appealing design and sold more cars.
And at the time the 3G was brand new in '04, Acura in general had a very strong lineup of vehicles that had consistency across the board and a common theme.
They have struggled with identity issues for 5 years now and continue to do so today.

It's not just the Acurazine bandwagon. The sales numbers of the 4G TL are not debatable - it just didn't sell as well.

My opinion, people just cant get out of the past. I loved my integra, but that doesnt mean Acura hasnt made good looking cars since.
I am simply speaking on justin calling the ILX and RLX bland. I compare his statement to the car he currently drives... the 3rd gen tl is great and gorgeous. But it in no way makes the RLX look bland. Say what you want about the ILX, its a entry level. But the RLX looks stunning in my opinion. Far more luxurious than the 3rd gen TL... not arguing sales numbers though.

Its the same story everywhere. After the Integra everyone claimed Acura lost its way. Then after the 3rd gen tl everyone claimed it again.

p.s. you described acura being wavy. it has its peaks, but it also has its troughs. you're putting words in peoples mouths. we never said that, or I never said that acura was full on great!
I've never owned a Honda product before
