I took delivery of my TLX today - V6 tech Black Copper Perl with Parchment interior

I took delivery of my TLX today - V6 tech Black Copper Perl with Parchment interior. I changed my mind today after test driving the I4 (blue pearl) and comparing it with the V6 I drove last week. I really didn't like the rims/tire combination - looks cheap and not upscale especially next to the V6. My I4 order was for BCP / parchment and the V6 was available so I took it. I'm not too concern about the hesitation in normal mode because you can easily gear down for quick acceleration. From my limited test this afternoon coming home from the dealership in normal mode, 5th & 6th gear are engaged below 50MPH. At that speed the transmission hesitates if you're trying to accelerate quickly. It only take a couple blips of your finger to gear down and accelerate quickly. I used it quite often in the TSX. No such issues in sport/sport+ mode.

Overall I'm quite happy I got thee V6 and I really like the rims. I'm 6'2" and drive with my seat way back and was able to fit in the back passenger seat. The mirror reflection didn't bother me at all coming home in the South Florida sun. Feel free to ask any question.

Here are some pictures:

Thanks all! No it's not the Advance Package. I parked in the sun at work and I used my windshield sunshade. I will get windows tint this weekend. Even if the temperature is 100 inside, it would be higher without sunshade and tint. I always full blast the AC and sometimes wait a couple minutes for the seats to cool down.

I was thrown off by the back of the front seats. They have that plastic trim part at the top that I've only seen on the Advance trim. Odd. The V-6 Tech I test drove did not have that seat back style.

Rick Case is the best! I got our new MDX from there last month. Kelly and Carl were awesome. No haggling and they are the top Acura dealership in South Florida. I visited them all when shopping around.

The Advance Package front seat backs are different from the Base and Tech seat backs. It has been suggested that the Advance seat back is designed to accommodate the ventilated seat mechanicals.

Right - but this is apparently a V6 Tech (not advance), yet as you can see in the pics it has the "Advance style" seat backs.

Congrats - that's an awesome color - saw a Black Copper at my local dealer in New Jersey yesterday when I was in for a service appointment, and thought it's beautiful in that shade.

Just recalled that the show room car was the advanced package and I took some shots. I will post some pictures of my front seats back later for comparison. My car and the one on show room floor is the same color combination. The color really pops in the sun!

I'm at a dealership right now and checked for that seat-back "ridge". An Advance V6 had it but a Tech model didn't. Hmm ...

Thanks, the OP posted some pictures of a car of the same color but was not the one he bought. Mystery solved. Didn't mean to cause a stir.

Very nice!!!! For your tint, you may want to consider 3M Crystalline tint as it really does block the heat very well. We put it on the wife's SRX and in the sun, it's reduces the temp substantially:

You just can't go as dark as with a conventional film (but it's great in NJ where you're not legally allowed to tint the front windows).

Thanks for the info! I will talk to the tint shop guy who does my previous cars and see if it's available.

Thanks Jayb082! The guy who did it worked at Tint Tech Detailing in Oakland Park, but it was done at Rick Case Acura. It cost $120 with lifetime warranty. He does tint for the dealership upon request and by appointment.
