It would either be the AS3 or Primacy which also gets good reviews (I always have my S2000 for ultimate grip thrills); I was not able to do AWD and it does snow several times a year in NJ. During my test drive I thought the TLX cornered well on the Potenzas, it's wheelspin pulling out that makes me think a wider contact patch would be better (funny the same size tire has so much wider tread width).

You mean the time they just couldn't get rid of that one accountant in the room during the tire decision meeting? LOL LOL LOL.

I currently have the AS3s on my 09 TL SHAWD and like them. Not love them because the bumpy roads are more bumpy now but the cornering is heaven on these. So far no snow but I am sure when it comes I'll report back on how they do on snow.

Or they just took into account that the priorities of the average drivers considering an Acura are very different the car forums dwellers.

Why Acura? Why?
If they were to go with Michelin, they would have probably selected the Pilot HX MXM4 (grand touring all season). And the rating of these is similarly "trashy" on tirerack.

BTW, the 19" wheels on the TLX call for a 245/40 R19 tire. :-)
I put Michelin A/S3 on my A6 right away and I am still blown away a year later and over 10K miles. By far the best tire I have ever owned. They stick like glue and handle extremely well wet or dry and better yet are a very comfortable tire for the ride. As with any UHP A/S tire they do make some noise, but seeing how quite the TLX is it should not make a difference.

Pretty common among brands because there is no "real" industry standard for tire size. This is why you should get actual tire measurements especially when going up a size or two.

Ordered ~4wks ago in NNJ.
Got great news from my sales person, they'll be getting my car in the dealership by Oct 24th. I'll just have to cross my fingers now!

Dealer just told me my 9/2 BCP Advance won't be built 'til end of the month. US inventory is 16 Adv / 70 Tech, about 2% of TLXs.

The Advantage Program ended 9/2 but current enrollees are extended til Dec. to take delivery.

Interesting, similar feeling I had test driving the SH-AWD last week. Hopefully the nine-speed can be improved with a software update. Honestly, if you don't care about the V6 power and can live with the I4, save the money and go with the I4. Here is my post from another thread.

I test drove the SH-AWD yesterday. As far as I can tell, no wheel slip/hop that I could tell off the line. I know that was a complaint with the FWD. It was a perfect sunny day, so no weather. Handling in perfect conditions didn't seem much different than the I4. If anything, the I4 maybe felt a touch lighter. Both exhibited significant wheel squeal when aggressively taking the corners. So the wheels are holding back the car.

The V6 was a nice upgrade over the I4. It was definitely, much smoother. However, the 9 speed transmission felts more sluggish than the 8-DCT. Rolling slowing off the line, than hammering it resulted in a noticeable delay in downshifting (sport mode). Sport plus helped somewhat. To me, the 8-DCT simply felts much quicker in shifts.

Anyway, that is my quick impression for what it's worth.

I was just text a photo of my lovely AWD Tech, sitting in the dealers lot today upon delivery. I'll be picking it up tomorrow or Saturday, schedule depending! Once the splash guards and tint are complete I'll be sure to share my thoughts / photos as well. (Although we all know what they look like at this point) I'm fairly certain I'm one of the first in this area to have an AWD!
