Has anyone taken delivery of a SH-AWD?

I am awaiting the arrival of my TLX SH-AWD and wondering if anyone has taken delivery by now.

(I understand they've been making the AWD versions of the TLX for a least the last few weeks in Ohio and shipments may have already begun.)

Thanks in advance for any info you might be able to share!

I also have an SH-AWD Advance on order. Yesterday my salesman told me it had a 10/22 production (could have been ship) date. They also have some with a 10/6 date, but he thought those might have been the Tech model.

I certainly hope the build (or ship) date improves from what it is now, I just sold my '04 TL so my wife and I are sharing the MDX for a while.

I just worked the deal today for my SH-AWD. I'm told mine will be here the first week of October, so 3 weeks away. I hope it's accurate as I already made the appointment for tint the following week .

I'm taking ownership of the Graphite Metallic and Gray Interior, figure it will be a nice change from 6 years in my black 09' TL. Very excited to spend a day just playing on the touchscreen!

Hey, that's my car!
Now I'll have to wait forever for one to get shipped to Canada!

Oh well I guess I'll have to wait as I wasn't about to pre-order without driving the SH-AWD . Lots of pics and a nice review when you get it.

I just got an email from my sales guy that the BWP/Espresso Tech SH-AWD that I ordered 3rd week in August will be built 10/25-29. They seem to be building the other colors earlier. But hey, any problems they find may be fixed by the time ours get built. ;-)

There is a black copper pearl with expresso and crystal black pearl with ebony coming in to Mile High Acura in Denver. Both tech package only, no advanced yet. ETA from what i was told is end of September/beginning of October.
I hope i am not disappointed by its performance as i have held off buying a new car for this long to wait to test drive this one before i decide on TLX SH-AWD or IS350............

I ordered my BCP Parchment Advance 9/2, so we're the first few for DC.

Not many reports of this exterior colour being chosen, but you will love it, black at night and dark copper in bright sunlight. Very elegant. If I had a choice (here in Canada), I would have selected Expresso but only Ebony is offered.

You now have a double cleaning workload, keeping the BCP and Parchment in pristine condition. More difficult compared to other colours, but the combination is nice.

The BCP would have been my personal choice, but I figured obtaining approval from "the CFO" would be easier if I let her choose the color, and she has always wanted a white car...

I've seen it and it's great in sunlight, like another color shade equal in depth to Graphite Luster Metallic, my only equal choice. Good to be a little unique. It'll still be easier to look at dirty than the current Crystal Black.

My BWP / Black Advance has a similar build date. According to my salesman it should be among the first batch of SH-AWD cars that they are getting. If any show up a few weeks earlier, he is going to let me know so that I can drive one.

I was at my local dealership last night for their TLX event. I spoke with the GM and he checked his incoming list and my car was not on it, so he thinks it'll be early to mid Oct., at the earliest.

We saw in the Aug sales press release that SH-AWD models were beginning to ship. Where are they?

I talked with my salesman and the GM last night and the GM said they aren't even starting to build them until next month. I forwarded the 5th One Pack video that referenced the AWDs shipping this week. I can't figure out why there's such a discrepancy between what they said on the One Pack video vs. what they're telling the dealers.

From Honda's 9/3 press release for August sales numbers:
"TLX went on-sale mid-August and is driving heavy dealer traffic to dealerships nationwide. The great majority of these early units were 3.5-liter V6 models as the 2.4-liter four cylinder began arriving later in the month and V6 SH-AWD models just starting to ship."

Oh that's great news! If that's the case most dealers on the east coast should have their first one within the next week or so.

Just got an email from an out of town dealer about the SH-AWD. Appears I'm invited to test drive the AWD on a track along side of its competition. No mention of which models will be there to test drive against but BMW,Audi,Lexus !!
Can't wait to compare all the vehicles I've test driven against each other on a track!! They must be pretty confident in the TLX to put on a show like this!

Will see if paying $20k more for a different vehicle is worth it.
I wonder what tires they are going to put on these vehicles as its sure to make a big difference in how they handle.

It seems that Acura hasn't produced any Advanced SH-AWD yet. I was told that according to Acura's internal website, they won't until November.

I don't understand why they have delayed production. I guess they expect low take rate?

My salesperson told me same thing this past saturday (9/20). BWP/Espresso Tech AWD will hit the production line on 10/25-29 and to expect delivery 2-3wks afterwards...
Ordered ~4wks ago in NNJ.

My SH-AWD Advance (GLM/Ebony) is being built this week, since we're only 3 hours from the factory, I should have it next week or the first week of October. I've been drooling since March and can't wait to get the call on the shipping date.

LOL. Thanks. Interestingly enough, I also had a refundable deposit on that car before the prices were even released, but once I traded in my TL-S, life really started getting in the way; Married, house, some health issues for family, and then finally a child who just turned 3 yrs old.

Drove the FWD TLX, and have a deposit on the AWD version, so hoping it keeps me engaged for the daily drive like the TL-S, and other subsequent cars did. I used to love leaving work not just to get home, but for the drive as well; the TSX never really did that for me. Great machine, but doesn't speak to me like my previous cars.

Of course it is not fair to hold it to the same standards, but I went TL-S/540/IS300 as a daily & RS4 for weekends/TSX & RS4. I thought the TSX wouldn't be a big hit power wise compared to the IS, but I really should have gone up instead of down, and after last winter, AWD is a must for me with work. Hoping the TLX hits the perfect balance; doesn't need to be a super sports, just a nice blend of comfort, tech, and sport.

I went over to my local dealership this past weekend to ask about an estimated delivery date and they told me they were still unable to put my order in for the SH-AWD Advance (as of last Friday). They estimated that it might not be until December until the delivery. Is my local dealership the only one who hasn't been able to get any SH-AWD orders in? It looks like some people here managed to have build dates already.

Change to your zip, pick all miles radius, select Drivetrain - AWD, sort nearest. Only 53 AWDs of 3780 total USA wide currently.

Thanks! The closest Adv to me is 740 miles away! It's farther to El Paso than Acura Carland
