Never realized this till yesterday; after 7 Acura's, I left my keyfob, on the trunk, after I removed packages
The trunk automatically opens, without pressing any button; guess it's some kind of safety feature

Yeah it's called the "don't get your keys locked in the trunk feature"

 

If you want to leave it in the car (or trunk), wrap it with aluminum foil, or remove the battery.

 

my friends and family know not to set anything on my car. especially metal keys, lmao.

if i ever upgrade to a car with proximity keys, this wont be an issue for me
