Trunk Button on Keyfob not working...

Just programmed keyfob to the car. Everything works except the trunk release button on the keyfob? I checked the glove box to make sure switch is in the correct postion. Any suggestions?

sounds like you got a new keyfob, does your originals work?

Welcome to AZ Do you have a wing on the trunk lid? Sometimes the weight holds the lid down, doesn't allow it to pop up.

I have to hit the door unlock twice on the fob (once to unlock the driver's door and again to unlock all doors) before the trunk release opens. I'm thinking you can only release the trunk if all doors are unlocked? I do have a wing on the back and it only pops the trunk open about 2inches because of the extra weight.

...all you have to do is hit the trunk button and it should open...no need to unlock a door or all doors...mine opens with one touch

i don't have to unlock the car to release the trunk :shrugs:

and the glove box switch doesn't affect your keyfob, it affects the button on your trunk that allows you to open the trunk manually

something is wrong if you need to unlock your car to pop the trunk, it should open regardless of the lock/unlock of the car

this is a totally random guess but did you happen to accidentally lock the trunk inside the cabin (the keyhole next to the gas door release)? I dunno if that would make a difference

if you lock the keyhole, then the button on the trunk itself will not work. you need to fob or the release lever under the seat to open the trunk.

also, i have to hold my trunk button down for a little while for it to open - are you giving it enough time?

really?

i have a switch in my glove box that controls the button on the trunk itself... maybe that's a new thing for the '06? we can lock the lever, and lock the button seperately..
