Trunk wont open from keyfob
I can open the doors with the remote key, but the trunk open button doesn't seem to work. Just got the car yesterday. Anybody have a similar experience? Thanks!

There is a switch in the glovebox that locks-out the key fob from opening the trunk. I think it's near the top of the glovebox. Your owner's manual will provide the details.

Thanks, AUFO, that switch is actually to disable the trunk button on the dash. I found out that you have to keep the button on the keyfob depressed for a second or two and that does the trick. I did a search in this forum and got the info. Glad I found y'all, thanks!

Welcome to the Acurazine forums. A lot of good information on these forums unlike the information I posted to your post. Homer Simpson: D'oh!!
Sorry about my mistake. You are right, the switch controls the trunk button on the dash.
I should have remembered that given at one time I had my glovebox switch set so you could not use the dash button.
After reading about how thieves were tearing-up the dash in an attempt to get into the locked glovebox, I left my glovebox unlocked and set the switch so I could use the dash button.
My trunk is empty most of the time and there is nothing in the glovebox worth stealing.
