Bye TLX
Got out of my lease early and traded into a Honda Passport. The TLX was simply too uncomfortable on long drives and my better half missed our RDX. Neither of us like Acura's direction with the current RDX, so we went with the passport - cabin size of the MDX, and the power of the V6. So far very impressed with the ride quality and ergo's, cabin is pretty quiet. I really appreciate not having to almost lay down to get into the thing.

Already enjoying it immensely more than the TLX. Understanding the fit/finish isn't quite Acura level, its still pretty darn good. I've only put 200 miles on it, but so far its comfortable, easy to get in/out of, sits high up, suspension handles bumps great, infotainment is light years ahead of what was in the TLX, and my backseat passengers can actually move around, plus there's plenty of room in the cargo area for all my archery/shooting goodies!!! It essentially has SH-AWD, and all the same safety goodies on an Acura. No where near the soft touch materials in the cabin an Acura has, but the important parts are covered. I went with the EX-L model, didn't think the extra cost for the higher trims was worth it for our needs. I have a fully loaded RAM Rebel we take on most weekend journeys, so the Passport will be daily driver for a while.

How much down down did you put on the original lease? Seems too good even with 4800 miles to get even trade in less than 2 years. Only time I had that happen is with my 3G TL when they were selling 70K TLs a year.
Agree with Beached. Despite all the things my TLX did wrong, comfortable seats and long-driveability (ignoring the vibration) were exceptional. Congrats on your new Passport. Good looking SUVs for sure.

$0 - I never put money down. I've been leasing Acura's since 2010 with the same dealer, always treated me well and I always had tons of miles rolling over

Its my fault I bought it, at the time my 2016 RDX was coming off lease and the A-Spec was just beautiful sitting in the show room. I really loved my 2012 TL so I gave the TLX a shot. I guess I had it for...20 months?
Ah, I guess the A-spec seats are fancified or something lol.
Enjoy the passport - super cool suv!

Its probably the A-Spec seats - they are small and quite bolstered, and even with the seat all the way back my legs were always cramped. On ~30 minute drives it was fine, but 2+ hour road trips were extremely uncomfortable for us. LIke I told the dealer, its a beautiful car I hate to drive

haha, I tried to get the extra miles but no dice. Honestly I don't need them, but it was kind of funny to tell people I could put 57,000 miles on the TLX. Transmission is geared completely different, you wouldn't know its the same gearbox. So far incredibly smooth, no gear hunting, no abrupt shifts. It has paddles and S mode but I haven't had a reason to play with them yet.
Thanks! I’ve got 8 mos on my lease and if the TLX Type S is too far out for me, I’m thinking about an Accord Sport manual. If I can’t transfer miles to a Honda lease, then I’ll just finance instead.

not everyone has the same length of legs...
I like how low you sit in the TLX, and yeah, I would not want the ride to be any more comfortable than it already is. I'd actually prefer it a little stiffer.

I think it's partially about getting in/out - he doesn't like how low it is, and how much you have to bend down to get in. He did say in a post about how his legs are too long for the car though.

I actually sold my 2008 TL for this and a few other reasons...
I got a 2011 Kia Optima. It's so much easier to get in and out of, but is so boring compared to my TL.
I decided to drive an Accord and found it drives like a TL but sits higher like an Optima and I should've gotten an Accord to begin with.
But selling a car due to how low it is or how hard it is to get out of is definitely an appropriate reason for backing out of a car.
