RDX versus the 2014 MDX

It will be interesting to watch after the new MDX has been out for awhile what the lease cost difference will be between similarly equipped RDX/MDX? I know that a MSRP ILX at $32k runs around $249 per month compared to a RDX MSRP $35k runs around $415 per month. This price difference is not based on MSRP, it is based on demand. When I add up the payments and money down and end of lease buyout the ILX for their current lease 3 year 30k miles ends up totaling around $2k under MSRP, while the RDX totals around $1500 over MSRP. It will be interesting to see what happens lease payment wise between the RDX and the new MDX?

^^ don't also forget the residual value which is a huge part of the lease payment.

Based on the recent reviews, the MDX looks pretty impressive feature-wise. Gas-mileage is almost a wash, the storage options are a lot better and it has some of things which drive me crazy about the lack of in the RDX (height adjustable passenger seat, rear air vents, option for SH-AWD)

I'd seriously consider trading in the RDX if I didn't live in California and have to pay another 10% tax!..Maybe in a few years then if the family grows.

Any ideas how much larger the '14 MDX would feel compared to the current RDX?

Just read the review of the MDX in the Toronto Star.; Looks like another winner. I had 2 1st Gen MDX's, considered the 2nd gen 2x, but decided on a TL as I wanted to get back to a car, and considered the 2nd gen again recently, as the cost is similar to a RDX (actually you can get them cheaper now), but to me it is just too big and the deal breaker for me is no touch free locks and push start. To me these are features I would never want to be without again. I get my new RDX Monday. Looking foreward to it.

I think the RDX is a great size and very popular. Your comment about the MDX now being cheaper will continue about a year after the new MDX is introduced. I'm thinking in the fall of 2014 you will be able to get a great maybe better deal then you can on the RDX.
