No, you didn't hurt my feelings at all. I am just tired of guys like you writing, "my car is fine, you guys are making it up" or "it's not as bad as you guys are saying" BS posts, LIKE YOURS.

I called you out on it is all. I do take offense to be told shit like that after all I went through. If you had gone through what I and several others on here have.. you might have a clue... maybe.

Hurt my feeling though? Is that what you were hoping to do?

This is the last I'll respond to you on it. Your cover is blown

You should seek some psychological help, LOL!

My initial post had nothing to do with you or your car, go back and read.

You are calling me out?
My cover is blown?

You are an idiot, LOL!

2015 Acura TLX Problems, Defects & Complaints

The Car Complaints website has already rated the 2015 TLX as a "clunker" because of the transmission defects.

I thought the issues were pretty bad just by reading this forum, but after reading some of the complaints on this website... wow!

"2015 Acura TLX owners just want a transmission that can get from 1st to 5th gear without feeling like a washing machine full of bricks."

That said it's still an issue Acura should address so consider me in...

When you use the phrase "over exaggerated" versus something like "over represented by AZ population" you are bound to get some kickback. I also read your comment at first to mean that people reporting the problem are exaggerating the problem....or perhaps that is what you did mean.

62 signers of the petition so far. Does not seem exaggerated yet. I thought there was a chance that when I started this, only ten or so would sign. Seems quite a few of us do not have transmissions that are behaving properly.

Once there are 100 signatures, I plan on emailing the petition and individual comments to Acura and to automotive review editors (if any of you have contacts at either Acura or editorial sites, let me know.)

I just joined the Acura TLX facebook group. I have stated on there many times that I do love my car. I will just love it entirely when the transmission is fixed.

I washed her this weekend and took her out on the town. Had many questions and compliments on her.

I'm with you. Love the car but only wish for the tranny to be better.

I am fortunate so far, I have a 9/15 built 15 TLX AWD and so far it shifts very well, what I do notice is is that when you start coasting down a hill it seems to jump to the tall gears quick causing the car to almost feel like it went into free-fall or like you hit the accelerator. Takes a bit of getting used to.

I believe that is due to the car downshifting to apply the transmission brake. When the car shifts from 5th to 4th, it goes into neutral (if only for a moment.) That causes that free-falling feel.

If you are in Sport mode, it also rev-matches the downshifts, so you will feel a slight freewheel - it's definitely most noticeable with the dog clutch downshifts (5-4), but I can feel it on all of them.

I sure don't like being told that "the issue is exaggerated", as one poster here said. My Acura dealer still has my old TLX sitting on the back lot.
I'm facing the same decision, Stew4HD. I was the first in Georgia to buy a 4 cylinder TLX and have had problems with the transmission from day one. I posted about it on here and I think a lot of people thought I was just complaining or exaggerating the problem. In reality, it's actually a safety concern. There have been plenty of times where the car jerks forward so hard that I look in the rearview mirror thinking that I've been rear-ended. I've never been one to trade a car in with negative equity but I am seriously contemplating it now. The dealer and Client Relations have been absolutely useless -- even though this is my third consecutive Acura purchase.

Is this petition for all TLX versions or just the V6? Mine is a 4-cylinder and I have had serious transmission problems which have yet to be resolved.

Like KeithL I have not experienced the issue. The build date on the car is 8/15. If I experience the issue I will post here.

It appears that this petition is for the 9-Speed transmission, hence only for the V6 version.

From what I've read, the 8-speed DCT in the 4-cylinder appears to be pretty well sorted out now. I'm somewhat surprised that you're still having such serious problems.

Good luck in getting out of it (or getting it fixed/replaced).

If my experience today is any indication, the petition isn't needed. Per my thread HERE, I think they've fixed it!

Does the car need to be driven significantly more to see if it comes back?

I would think so. We have all heard that the car drove great right after an update only to return shortly thereafter

Is there any incentive to fix it?

They had all the Odyssey, Accord, TL tranny issues.

They can't keep Oddy and MDX and Accords in stock.

TLX is flying off lots....

I'm a little over 13K miles, and haven't felt it.
Also, had the A1 service, and didn't feel any difference.
I feel bad for those who are going thru this tranny problem and I hope you bring this to Acura's attention.

Tesla Stock Drops As Model S Reliability Dinged By Consumer Reports - Investors.com

"Honda Motor (NYSE:HMC) saw its Acura luxury brand fall seven spots to 18th, with both infotainment and transmission issues. Honda Motor stock fell 0.6%."

"In-Car Electronics A Problem For Acura, Cadillac
Consumer Reports called out two trouble areas seen among several carmakers: in-car electronics and new transmissions, which figure in automakers' efforts to boost gas mileage to meet government mandates.
"We've seen a number of brands struggle with new transmission technology," said Jake Fisher, Consumer Reports' Director of Automotive Testing, in the reliability study release. "Whether it's a complex system such as a dual-clutch gearbox, a continuously variable transmission (CVT), or one with eight or nine speeds. Many vehicles require repair and replacements because of rough shifting among the gears and slipping CVT belts."

I signed it and posted this on twitter to @acura. Here is the tweet. @Acura Are you following the https://acurazine.com forums? There is a petition to fix the 9sp transmission. http://tinyurl.com/ore7kdw

If we all post on facebook, twitter, etc (i'm too old for this social media stuff), we may get more attention.

I agree as I meant something different than I implied, anyway my apologies for my reaction to Stew's post even though his response rubbed me the wrong way.

Peace to everyone...
