Just came back from round trip to Houston. Managed to get 34.4 mpg in normal drive mode with speed 75-80 mph and A/C on. On the I way back stopped at the gas station to fill gas tank. Turned eco mode on, drove with speed 70 -75 mph and in some areas in Dallas 65 mph. I was amazed with 40 mpg for v6 engine. ZF transmission so far work great and kept engine rpm in a range of 1600-1700 rpm. Lane keep assist work great all time. I love TLX end enjoy every mile drove in it.

I just completed a round trip from Minnesota to Austin, Texas - about 2,400 miles. This was the screen shot when I was getting close to Austin on the way there.
I did some manual calculations and got 35+ mpg - so the indicated numbers here are a bit optimistic. Still, not bad for 70 - 75 all the way. I have the SH-AWD V6.

While each vehicle reaches its optimal fuel economy at a different speed (or range of speeds), gas mileage usually decreases rapidly at speeds above 50 mph.
You can assume that each 5 mph you drive over 50 mph is like paying an additional $0.22 per gallon for gas.
^^^ HA HA HA - I agree, and with Mr. Coderre announcing that the construction in the city will go up significantly over the next few years, you can kiss the mpg goodbye!!
It is very impressive to see the fuel efficiency that the TLX returns, no question about it - That shouldn't be what people get excited about though when getting a so-called sports sedan.
I have been tracking my mileage separately, and the MID mpg is ALWAYS optimistic. 2% to 10%, average closer to 6% high. About the same error as my old TSX. I had a Garmin GPS with an OBD plugin unit that learned at one time, and after 3 tankfulls, it's error was less than 2% That was so it learned how much gas was in each blip on the CAN. IMHO, the MID reads high INTENTIONALLY.

I use aCar to track all my car expenses, including gas mileage. According to my app, the past year I've been driving I've been getting 27.121mpg. I drive mostly highway and that's a pretty damn good combined mpg from a v6.
I think the car, usually before every fill-up, gives about a 1-1.8mpg difference added on.

Yup, I too see a display on the car that is 3% to 10% high, or thereabouts.
