Tpms

Whats a good site or deal to buy TPMS for the 4G? The universals are not compatible right? I'm looking to put on my rims Friday and dont want to deal with the yellow light or go through taking the ones off my stock rims. Any good sites or locations for them?

For a set of 4, or is that for each? Can any valve stems work or it has to be a TPMS valve stem?

drew.. it will have to depend on what wheels you are putting them on.. some require tmps adapters.. but ultimately you need OEM acura tpms to make it work.

it will depend on your wheel design. some designs dont need adapters.

for example, my 5zigen 3 piece wheels need adapters so it can sit flat with the wheel.. i could mount it on without adapters but my tpms will be vertical instead of horizontal on the wheel. it needs to sit flat against the wheel.

Not all will need adapters. The JDM wheels in particular will need them from what I was told. This was when I was wheel shopping awhile back. I have Niche as well and required no adapter and I'm currently using the OEM TPMS. You will be fine with just the OEM TPMS Drew. You won't believe it but I got mine for 25 shipped on ebay. Been working with no issues for about a month now. They average out to 50 a set on ebay.

$50 a set is on a good day if you catch someone selling it on ebay for dirt cheap.. they run around 80+ a set.. you probably wont be able to find it on ebay right now for $50 a set.

usually if the air valve hole is pointed at a 45 degree angel and not a 90 degree then you do not need a adapter. my wheel for instance is just a hole on the inner barrel that will require a 90 degree bend valve

exactly like this..

I'll pay 80, the most I want to pay is 100, but I looked on ebay last night and all the ones that came in a set were over $150....smdh.

Due to the multi piece construction, the air inlet hole for multi-piece wheels is located on the inner barrel, and not on the outside lip as for 1-piece wheels.

Therefore, almost all multi-piece wheels require some form of angle adapters in order to properly install the tire pressure sensors.

On my VS-XX rims there is two locations. They have the 90 degree bend air valve for airing up tires and on the inside barrel is where I got my TPMS mounted.

true.. but have you looked at stepped lipped wheels.. most of them, of not all require the tmps to be on the lip and not the inner barrel which in turn does not require adapters.
