Test fitting BBS RG-R 19x8.5 et 32 on base TL

First, let me make this clear, the tires are not the proper size for the TL, so the wheels look tiny on the car!

Specs: 19" x 8.5" BBS RG-R with offset of 32mm.
Tires are 235/35/19 again, not the correct size which should be 245/40/19. Big difference.

Now, the reason I put the wheels on was to see if it would clear the brakes, and not stick out beyond the fenders before I went ahead and ordered tires. Which they don't, so now it's time for some tires.

Looks like with a drop, fender rolling will be required with this offset.

You can't go wrong with BBS!! Those look great. Are you gonna go with all seasons or summer tires?

Unfortunately, even 245/40/19 are expensive tires

Dunlop Sport Maxx are great, and affordable summer tires... should be around $250 a pop..... Pretty decent tread-wear (from personal experience)

Update. Sorry, been busy with work.

ok, no pictures. ran into a problem

Bought tires, new tpms sensors, and wheels to tire mounters. Had old tires dismounted and had trouble getting the new sensors on.

Basically, the hole for the valve stem is just large enough for the traditional Schroeder valve, but not the valve that Honda uses for TPMS. The BBS comes with nice metal valve stems that are the diameter of a Schroeder valve throughout.

so options are:

run without tpms (live w tire light, or defeat it somehow)
turn tpms valve stem down (not sure if this is possible)
find new valve for tpms (searching this option now, doesn't look too good)

I didn't have the tires mounted for this reason, I guess i should just to get the pics up for some eye candy.

Not sure if you want to go this route but I saw a 3pc wheel with a hidden valve stem that the TPMS valve wouldn't fit so they just strap the sensor on the inside of the wheel.

Here it is, Check this link (I hope Ronjon doesn't mind) http://ronjonwheels.com/tpms.html
