Tein SS Top Mounts (want to buy another set of OEMS) what I need?

For me to not take apart my factory assemblies what exactly do I need for the teins SS top hat to mount off the factory? I am going to buy new top hats. Anyone at has swapped over parts able to tell me ?

Both front and rear correct?

See attachments for parts list front and back.

i dont know what exactly you need but it would be more cost efficient to just use the original top hats off your stock suspensions.. dont see a reason why you would spend an additional when its just sitting there..

^^ assembling the new setup with fresh oem top hats and hardware will allow you to do a straight swap of suspension assemblies - for some people the extra cost of the new top hats offsets the convenience of not having to use a spring compressor and mess with labor as well as having the ability to replace the stock suspension at a moments notice.

Why would you need a spring compressor two pull out a complete intact strut with spring still attached? You'll only need a compressor if you remove the spring from the strut... The only reason to change a top hat would be to change the mounting height if you wanted to alter the ride height up or down with a differant size top hat... Which putting a shorter spring in the Teins would drop you lower like Cass did if thats the intent... otherwise it's just added labor in my eyes...

^^ You need a spring compressor to disassemble the OEM shock/spring setup in order to remove the top hats, and to use them on the new Tein SS coilover (which does not come with top hats).

If you want to know what OE parts you need go to TEIN's website and look at the instructions for the kit. It shows you a diagram of what OE parts get reused.

Okay you all are talking about part of the coil... I was talking about the mounting bucket on the car... I get it now...

If you are planning to swap back and fourth to the oem setup then I can see how it could be worth it

For what it is worth, I wanted to get a full set of OEM top hats as well, but end up just re-using the top hats on the coil overs. It is only $30 or so for a spring compressor and about extra 40 minutes on the swap time. I did it with a friend of mine.
