Suspension Knock at high speeds

I am having a very hard time figuring out what the problem here is!
When I get up to speed on the interstate usually between 60-95mph I get this nasty suspension knock or rattle of sorts I will post a YouTube link for y’all to listen

As of two days ago I installed brand new Honda full strut assembly’s to the front. But the noise was there prior to the repair and has any gotten better or worse.

Suspension is tight as can be doing the usually tire movement test. The local pep boys suspension guy agreed.

Keep in in mind when listening to video there is no potholes or anything the ride is very smooth during the noise

if anyone has any idea please let me know what you think. I know it’s hard to diagnose over internet just hoping to get pointed in a better direction

to me; it sounds like something is binding. or it may sound like something is hitting. perhaps the shock is hitting the top of the shock tower.

I was thinking of possible binding too but still not sure. The shock was just replaced completely with no change so I feel like that can be ruled out. I watched Ericthecar guys rear swaybay bushing video and I don’t think his was at that speed but sounds very similar. I also have a thud on the right side when going over potholes at slow speeds So I’m leaning more towards possible sway bar. My gut tells me that the low speed thus with the high speed knock are related.

Possible issue with ball joints.
See TSB 12-041

I did see this and haven’t ruled it out yet. I do get a little strut mount thump but since I just replaced. I’m going to investigate the sway bar bushings as I heard they can make a similar sound like the strut

Turning, braking, or acceleration don’t make a difference with noise on highway or noise at low speed

The end links are more likely to fail than the bushings.
I recommend you inspect them as well.

I have found out the problem with my car. The intermediate shaft bearing is the issue and has a lot of play. I will upload a video. Once the part is installed I will do a final update.

Excellent diagnosis and video. That bearing and seal are available so at least you don't have to purchase a high cost assembly.
I checked the service manual and it's not an easy job for a shade-tree mechanic; bearing has to be pressed in & out.

Honestly that went thru my head, after seeing the Audi videos on their constant problems with a similar issue. I stumbled on it after seeing a product for it since the Audi is like rubber mounted and people are using duct tape to fix it.

So I ended up buying per recommendation from my shop the full intermediate shaft and a new cv axle all from Delray Acura via there online service. Should be getting them put on Wednesday.

I also have noticed a lot of vibration on highway and was thing that it was related as well

The shaft as well as the cv axle was replaced and the knock is no longer there. The suspension going over bumps at low speed has no thud and feels completely solid!

FYI to anyone that thinks they have a bad strut mount. Before you spend your time replacing it make sure to check the intermediate shaft bearing they both sound very similar.

Good find. Not sure if you're in the US or Canada but do you have 188,000 miles or km on the car?
