Rotors and Brakes

2012 Acura TL -SH AWD. I just picked it all good except the rotors and brakes need to be done in the next couple months. The car will be driven as a everyday vehicles around the city and expressways. I was looking at replacing fronts and rears rotors and brakes. Is it better to just go with regular rotors and ceramic brake pads, or go with slotted and drilled rotors and the ceramic pads? Thanks for all the feedback first time Acura owner

Normal rotors.

If you care about dust and want ceramic pads...buy the factory Acura pads at a dealer. They're the best overall pad, and they're inexpensive enough. Try curryacuraparts.com or something in order to source them for a good deal.

If you don't care about dust, LMK. I can recommend something.

Since this car shares brakes with SUV's and trucks, they sell tow/haul pads for it. Rockauto.com has a tow/haul pad section and they carry Bendix Fleetlok's for the front axle. Unfortunately nothing too crazy for the rear. Best I've been able to find are Stoptech Street (part number starts with 308) at buybrakes.com.

Cot damn boy, the car gon stop.

Again...grab any rotor you feel like. I buy the coated ones to prevent corrosion.
